Crossfire Patcher Problem (Alienware & Win 7)

Okay so I just got my new Alienware M17x and can play Crysis 2 on high settings in 3D, yet can't play Crossfire. When I try to run the patcher it almost finishes and then stops and prompts me with 'Failed to download patch' or something like that, and then I hit OK and it closes the program. If anyone has any answers for me that would be great, thanks guys.

Alienware M17x PC
Windows 7 64 bit
Nvidia 460M GPU if that has anything to do with it.
