well if we get a NA only server then people will complain about the fact that there is a fck up since every time there's something new there's always a fck up, which is also a major problem and something they won't fix since they get loads of money anyways, but i don't blame them. why make a good game when you can make it half ass and still get loads of money?Yeah, that gets annoying, but as long as there's foreigners, they won't stop.
And even if we do get a US only server, people will find a way to complain about it. Like for example, "No fair, the server is east, what about us west coasters".
And IF they make US only server, I doubt they'll make more for the different areas.
No matter what, people will complain, we just have to learn to deal with it. -

They start of with more money that way, but in the long run they start loosing.
Sooner or later most of the top ZPers will realize what a waste it is to spend money on a game that is infested with foreigners and greedy devs.
If they had kept a stable balance of ZP and GP, and dealt with foreigners accordingly, the game would live longer and top ZPers would stay and spend more money. -

so which ignorant yank wants to explain to me how BR'S ruin the game.
They have high ping? Easier kill for you, if they had low ping they'd be 10x better.
They speak a different language? Learn the language, or accept that english is not the only language.
They hack? I assure you most cheaters iv'e seen are yanks.
Not that i care for this game at all, but you're complaining about pubs.
If you want to have fun, get on vent with some friends, play some pugs, scrims whatever.

lets just say you and a few of your friends decide to play some basketball. then come along some fat, loud mouth idiots who can barely speak english that complain about everything. they just start playing with you on your own court without even being invited. they yell at you in a different language, say you're a cheater because you scored when they're horrible at it. the next time they come there's three times as many of them and 2/3 of them are playing on your court when there's 4 other courts right beside yours. what would your reaction be?Dinosauras wrote: »so which ignorant yank wants to explain to me how BR'S ruin the game.

Mixing high pings (> 150) and low pings makes for a terrible game. It's sometimes easier for low pingers that have a better reaction time, it's sometimes easier for high pingers that can shoot at you even though you took cover behind a wall a second ago. Both sides "tanks" shots.
It's not a matter of easier or harder game, it's a matter of bs. You shouldn't have to cope with bs when possible. I don't want an easy kill on a lagging guy, nor do I want to get killed after I got behind some cover.
It has such an impact that I can easily and pretty accurately tell the ping of a player just by the way I interacted with him. Not to mention certain modes where it ruins everything, namely HM, MM and Esc where guys teleport and either "mutate" you or escape before you can do anything about it.Dinosauras wrote: »They speak a different language? Hmmm, I'm pretty sure this game is english only. Talking in public chat in another language is even a bannable offence if I'm not mistaken. So yeah, I already learned english (not my mother tongue), I'm not learning another language just for some people in a game. The situation is even worse in UK servers where I play.
My opinion on CF dying or not ? I don't really know but I'm going to stay for several reasons :
- It's been 2 years and I'm not dumping my main easily, if I ever quit I'll probably come back (like I already did twice)
- I've found the most awesome clan evah, and I'm staying as long as its awesomeness last
- CF devs are either trolls or magicians creating new and extraordinary bugs every patch (like the hard to explain late joiners being able to see ghosts, or potent anti-hack grenades), as long as they keep entertaining me with such wonders, I'll always come back to CF
- I haven't found a better free alternative yet
I just know that if I was in charge I'll block the creation of new accounts for a number of countries (Brazil, Turkey, Egypt to name a few). This way, legit players from these countries will get to keep playing while hackers would have a harder time getting new accounts. It will mean no more new players from these countries but it's the price to pay for tranquility. Coupled with ping restriction options, it will greatly reduce most of the problems imho. -
I've been here for 3 years ... Well, it looks like that there's still thousands of people playing, but there is no more community. The game itself won't die just yet, but that community of ours we had will be gone day by day.
Before, you could talk in team chat and actually call a stat in a pub (with keyboard, okay, but still a strat). Now, the only times you see someone chatting, it's GOTTA be a QQ. -
The game is far from dead. No one on this game would even guess the amount of players this game actually has.
We've had these threads before, and nothing has happened since those ones has it? I am closing this because if you open your eyes and look, Saidin has made an official statement on a thread like this.
Just because a few forumers quit doesn't mean anything. The forums don't even qualify for a percent of the players who'm are on this game.
Like it or not, the game doesn't need those who quit. The playerbase is huge.
