No Bullet Sound

Well, Crossfire always worked fine for me until this dreadful day.
I was sitting trying to fix my computer to make Portal work, so I uninstalled Directx... (ikr...)
I managed to re-install it in an unstable manner, I guess.
But ever since then, I am unable to hear bullets, footsteps etc.
I can only hear Radio Messages, Fire in the hole, Headshot, Double Kill, Go, Go, Go! etc...
This is a real pain and Crossfire just ain't the same without sound.
PLEASE HELP MY SOUL! T_T
