Server selection time

Er.. I'm too tired to look any farther for anything related to it.. My computer loads extremely slow and I only have about 10 secs to log in and choose a server before I disconnect due to server selection being exceeded.
I'm just saying to make it at least a little longer, if possible, or take it off (which I'm supposing is impossible) to help all of us cheap computer people. :P

Btw others.. Don't tell me to get a better computer.. I can't afford it.
Don't tell me to get a job.. Because I'm trying.. I live in a crappy town where there's barely anything..
I've had many conversations like this and I'm just disappointed by the ignorance of people who continue to argue with me when they know nothing about my computer -.-...
Oh I have great fps but slowest load of all time >_>..

    But Im going to disregard what youve said and tell you to get a better comp. Yeah Im the first, and Im going to reiterate myself by saying it AGAIN.

    Get a better computer + internet.

    This might go against what you said, but I've had a few people help me find parts to build my own PC and its about half the price of what you'd pay for a brand new Brand Name PC

    My problem is.. I've applied for jobs and they don't have the times that I can do, I'm only in high school living with one parent, I got this laptop for free, and my processor is 1.76 GHz. Oh, and Rawr I have 50-60 ping average and 100 fps average.
    I don't mind the wait, it just gets annoying after I constantly clean my computer to go faster every day.
    I am looking into building my own computer and I've had my friends recommend me some things too but I just can't afford anything with only 15 bucks in my wallet :P

    Thats awsome that you can actually maintain a 100 fps...

    my 160 drops to literally 60 after a 200 pinger joins.

    I hate this time. The key is to not do anything until the mouse cursor shows that its done loading (it doesnt have the hourglass) then type in the password.
    And for selecting servers double click on the server instead of clicking on the server then hitting join.
    I run a dell dimension 4300
    768mb of ram (not even a gig)
    And a 2.6ghz processor (i upgraded from 1.6)
    and i ping at 33ish and my fps is average 45 but i have all graphics set to high (anti aliasing is still not working!!!!)
