Sniper RIfle with Suppressor
We need one. I snipe in GM when I'm bored, and I figured that the 3 seconds that the blast hangs is very annoying to Pin-pointers. There are other uses to, as in games where the sniper doesn't want to be found by the hang.
Suggestions:
Frecklez' XM110 guns (No pictures, cuz I'm lazy)
SR-25

Hon, the Knight's M110, XM110 and the SR-25 are pretty much the same rifle apart from some minor details, like a different rail system and adjustable stock.

lol today u can put on every sniper a silencer even on the old one m48(german normal rifle u could put be4 a scope on it now u can put the silencer because u can custom it)
even dragunov can handle the silencer. today u can do all so yea custom weapons ftw
I wish there is a sniper with silencer and pistols with silencer -
The AWM-Silencer will just be funny XD I imagine pros and noobs quickscoping with that and no one knows where those shots are coming from!Most likely the AWM would cease to be a 1 hit-kill, since subsonic ammo has a lower velocity than regular supersonic ammo.
So, in game terms, putting a suppressor on a 1-hit kill sniper would be pointless, because power will be the first state that will have to give in order to balance the gun.
Suppressors only work for those sniper rifles that already are 2-hit kills, like the SR-25, M700 or the PSG-1/MSG-90.

Come on... I mean the PSG is already got a RD variant, so no. I take back the AWM, because it's got Camo and RD, so maybe an SR-25/XM110 whatever based gun, or the DSR. We need a new type. Hell, I'll take a silenced Dragunov at this point. -

I dunno about the M700. The bolt action sniper rifle never really seemed like a weapon that should be suppressed. If it isn't a one-hit kill, it won't make sense for it to be bolt-action. In CF, either you get RoF, or you get DMG. A suppressed bolt action seems like a bad deal. This, of course, is simply my opinion. -

I dunno about the M700. The bolt action sniper rifle never really seemed like a weapon that should be suppressed. If it isn't a one-hit kill, it won't make sense for it to be bolt-action. In CF, either you get RoF, or you get DMG. A suppressed bolt action seems like a bad deal. This, of course, is simply my opinion.
The Dragonuv is almost never a 1 hit kill and its bolt action if I'm not mistaken. I just a sniper like the MSG, psg or dsr with a silencer OP since they're extremely fast and silenced. You won't know where you'll get hit from

Besides, a suppressor would lower the damage of a rifle, making the AWM and DSR-1 into a second rate Dragunov that leaves an opponent with enough HP and time to fire back.

The Dragunov is a semi-auto.
For the most part, all snipers used are one-hit. The exception being people who prefer maneuverability. A weapon that required 2 hits is obviously going to be ignored unless you get an advantage. A semi-auto with a suppressor taking 2 shots to kill from 100hp is not that OP in my books. -

Yes I am fully aware.
Also playing on console games such as Battlefield 2. Used to get private messages telling me that I would get killed because I would literally hide in a mountain and snipe people with the VSR or whatever.
Silenced snipers DO get annoying, but that being said... only really get annoying on a large map... If you miss the head, your pretty much screwed... (if the gun isnt one hit ko).
CF inmho is too small scale and rush and run tactics... They should seriosly change that...
