Here let me clarify:
Z8 Patches CF
Xtrap Patches Xtrap
They are not the same people and therefore do not patch at the same time.
You can complain to Z8 all you like. Its not their program. -

If you were here when GameGuard actually was for CF, you'd be laughing at the mere mention of that anti-hack. Xtrap works fine for the most part, it patches more than GG ever will. And before anyone mentions it, no, Punkbuster can't be used on CF.
So, for a F2P FPS, there's not many options. Plus, nothing is unhackable. -

Actually yes, for Wal-Mart they usually to tell you to ship it to the manufacturer. I had to do so with many mp3 players.
However your point is invalid since they aren't selling you Xtrap. Your not paying for any of the service Xtrap provides. Xtrap is free for you to use.
So your constant 'selling me something broken' argument is pretty weak since last I recall xtrap wasn't billing you. -

I'm sure it's z8games responsibility to tell X-trap when the game's needed patch, and from there its x-traps responsibility to patch it, or does Xtrap just randomly guess when it's time for a patch? -

Xtrap patches when it blocks hacks, not when the game patches. Its not like its 'we're patching, you must do so nao as well!'
Meanwhile during these times, Xtrap is analyzing the outbreak of hacks, breaking them down to block them from being used. They can't always follow z8's normal patching schedule since their's is ever changing depending on the outbreaks. -

And do you even know who those 80-90% of buyers are? And Xtrap prevents alot of the hacks out, and especially the old ones. This isn't even what the full potential was that GameGuard failed to prevent. You haven't been in the 'HackWars' era. People survived that. I'm sure the kiddos will survive this minor one in comparison. Its called patience.
Also I'll correct you about your false information, since you can't back up any of it, and I can throw you every single pub play replay i did today that didn't contain a single speeder. You guys exaggerate things way too much. Yes, there are cheaters, no, they are not every single person in a pub. -

Im going to have to clarfiy something here..
People seem to think that one company does EVERYTHING. You all seem to think that beca\use new content was released, then something else was being put aside.
Obviously not.
Smilegate (The Developers) Have several teams dedicated to doing something specific. One team may deal with the content and another will deal with the coding. One team doing the content WILL NOT AFFECT THE OTHER TEAMS IN THE SLIGHTEST.
XTrap (The anitcheat) are completely separate from Crossfire and any of its other companies attached to it. Because new content is added, it doesnt mean a hack patch is being delayed.
A final point here... we need the hacks. We need them to WORK, be tested and broken down to send to XTrap to get fixed as soon as possible. Just because there is a hack out it doesnt mean it will be patched because people are putting pressure. Youre not... simple as. Youre just an annoyance for the Moderators...
Once a wrking hack is found, it is immediately sent off to XTrap and a patch will usually come in a few days. We do what we can to gather these hacks up, but more often than not theyre on some foreign site we've never heard of. The Moderators can only speak English and Portuguese (as far as I know... dont wuote me on that) so we can only check sites in those languages.
Any other sites will have to be sent to us with translations and instructions on getting it to work in English.
