Provide Some REAL information for once!
Why does Z8 game always try to be as un-giving, straight to the point, and apathetic as possible? Is it too much to ask for some real information regarding the specifics on certain things?
Here is (2) examples of things Z8games will probably never elaborate or give specific information on.
(1) The % chances in the black market. Give percentage chances on each item in the Black market, and give an in-depth explanation of how those chance calculations work.
(2) How exactly do the ZP bonus points add up? How much ZP do you have to purchase/get in order to get "x" amount of bonus points?
Z8 games would not be giving away any "business secrets" nor would they be losing profit in any way by providing this information, so why isn't it done?
Can you think of other obscurities created by Z8 games/Crossfire in general?

Blackmarket is completely random, it doesn't have a % chance, and BP is 10% of ZP...
They are set at percentages. Everyone knows this due to the fact that the things on the bottom occur more often than the items at the top. They have a weird crate system as well.
As for the Bonus point info I really didn't know too much about it because I'm not a ZP buyer, rather I get it all for free from surveys. I thought it was around 10%, thanks for the clarification though. -

Hmm, I guess their would be some kind of adjustment to make those more common, but I doubt there is a set % for the main gun itself. More likely it's ~Get these more often, but randomly throw in this.~ -
ZP crates's items have both a chance of coming out (e.g. 0.03% that an AK-S will come out), and both the chance to come out, in the same triplets, always with the same items. Just have a go with one DE-Scope crate, roll until you reach 1/4 (45°), try to be precise, and then let it go. You'll always get the same 3 items - which for me are always Coupons. Really you can trust me not, because I'm not giving away any ZP crate secret (there are none, just algorithms), but I really made lots of coupons due to this "bug" which is not meant to be so.
PS: and ZP or GP crates with less items will give you a considerably increased chance of getting a coupon or the perm weapon; beside that I think that there are some crates which have a bigger chance to give the permanent weapons, like the Winchester/Thompson, Beretta and XM8-Adv ones, but really don't know why. Instead, crates like the AK-S, DE-Camo, Anaconda-Adv are more likely not to give you the weapon. -

#include <cstdlib>
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main()
{
cout << "12" << RAND_MAX << endl;
}
makes for a perfect random number generator in C++.
If you state that variable "3" = (thecrategun), and you get nr. 3 generated, you will win.
Clearly they have not made it 12, but something likes 300 max, and then 2 var's are crateguns and the rest is divided in other things in the crates. This would explain that guns are rare and GP or namecards are not.
As far as the algorythm goes, I think you can't even call that an algorytm...
var Crategun = 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 etc. -
Is this thread serious?
Err... anyway..
These questions have actually been answered before... It not our fault you dont search for them.
The BM details will NEVER EVER be released... Much like in real life casinos and other games that have a chance system
#2 is just common sense... 10% of ZP you buy or earn will be given as BP -

uhm RAND_MAX is a integer constant and doesn't change ever. So that's not even remotely random. It would simply provide the same number every time it was run. I think you meant to use rand() and if so you forgot to seed the pseudo random generator using srand(time()).
as for if it's even an algorithm, sure it's one and I'll bet it's actually a fairly nice one. It wouldn't be in z8's best interest to leave such a money making algorithm to pure chance now would it? After all if it's too low a chance no one would play. With too high a chance everyone would win all the weapons they want and stop paying. So you can bet a good amount of time and coding has gone into that simple random generator. -

There is no such thing as a GP crate with less items.
Except the Thomson/Winchester ones that contains 2 permanent weapons instead of one, they all contain the same number and types of items :
- A permanent gun
- Expand Grenade Slot (1d) & (7d)
- C4 Fast Defuse/Plant (1d)
- Flash Guard (3d)
- 3 different types of sprays (3d) or (7d)
- 4 different types of temporary gun (7d)
- 1 type of Name Card (either GR or Mutation) (3d)
- Coupons
- and GP of course[MOD]Giggletron wrote: »The BM details will NEVER EVER be released... Much like in real life casinos and other games that have a chance system
The lottery has a chance system too but you can easily know the probability of winning. I don't think it could do any harm to know those of the Black Market. -

Not too sure on that.The_Mexican wrote: »they say that this forum\game its english only and in the register page they have the option to translate the info into portuguese
so what de f*ck
That always baffles me aswell....Hells_Judge wrote: »The lottery has a chance system too but you can easily know the probability of winning. I don't think it could do any harm to know those of the Black Market.
I dont think they have ever released the actually statistics. Smarter people worked out the probablities of winning based on what they know. 6-7 balls, each one with a possbility of being from 0-49. Itgs not too hard to work out with those basic numbers. Not to mention that goes by true randomness. Not what the BM uses. It uses simulated randomness which changes all the time so the porbability of winning will never be the same. -

My bad, Had RAND_MAX stated as the max number.
haven't been on C++ for 3 years now, thanks for correcting!
