What is the difference between a profile picture an an avatar?

I have uploaded a picture for avatar and profile picture. I was wondering what the difference between the two is since my pic still hasn't shown up where I want it to. I have been wanting it to show up with my profile where it shows my stats.

An avatar's what you see under the poster's name.

A display picture is a picture anyone who clicks your profile will see.

ok so how long does it take after you upload for it to show up because it's still not showing even though my avatar is showing. I uploaded it about an hour ago.

I checked your profile, it's there, the larger picture on the left hand side.

You may want to F5 on your profile if it's not showing up.

hmmm its still not showing on my clan page but at least now I know I uploaded correctly. Thanks for helping.
