Ok, I know you want to keep the CF players from using nasty words, but you know just as well that whatever words you censor, we will find ways to avoid the censor. The only way you will EVER keep CF players from using not a single no-no word is by disabling all chat.
Does this mean that you have to censor everything that looks like swearing? No. If you censor a word, we change/drop 1 letter. If you censor that word, we change another letter. The options to avoid the censor are endless, your options to censor while keeping it possible to have normal conversations in CF are limited though....
I understand that you want to keep the chat clean, but I want you to understand that it will not work....
So how about just censoring the swear words themselves and uncensor all the rest again? Or an ability to turn the censor on/off?
I would love to be able to say afk again..... (or inject, what is wrong with inject?) So we can talk normally again in CF and you still have a censor that filters out the offensive stuff (and will be happily avoided)

the only reason they cencor is because little 10 year old johny who shouldnt even be playing this game might use a word he heard both here and school and then his mommy would assume its from thae game and stop buying these morons so to cover their butts they decided to make all language impossible because its better for johny to not learn one word at the cost of his entire vocabulary becoming degenerate so long as they keep making their money to ruin this game

noob censor aside. The word filter is a half-half thing and there are issues with some of the undocumented changes that recently went in.
That being said, there is a coding hurdle that needs to be jumped in order to remove people who constantly spam the same thing over and over and over again. IE the people spamming hack sites. So some things are going to get censored because we got tired of people saying:
"Stop this guy from spaming hack sites, and injectors etc etc."
So if spam is going to happen, its better to have it come out as ???????? to work against the spreading of hacks using the systems we have.
There's no further comment on some of the other filter stuff. It's been posted about a ton of times already and we're very aware of where it stands at the moment. -
