Suggested Mode: Phantom Hunt

Phantom Hunt

The objective of the game is to kill the opposing team's ghost. Maps are from ghost mode lineup and team Global Risk will spawn at SiteA, whereas Black list will be at site B. At the beginning of the game all 8 players will start unarmed like in Elimination mode and will pick up weapons except for one player that will be randomly chosen as a ghost. The ghost will be able to use his own melee weapon from storage, with a free bullet vest armor. Both teams will try to go to the opossing site to try to find and kill the enemy's ghost. The ghost however is not allowed to move outside of the site so he will have to hide and try to kill his/her opponnents there. Non ghost players can kill other non ghost members but they can respawn and continue playing, however if the player is killed by the ghost he/she will be unable to respawn. The round will end when one of the side's ghost has been killed or time is up and point is given to the highest surviving members.

  • Picking up weapons is for noobs who are dumb enough to not buy a gun they want. Elimination is dogcrap, and for this, I'm saying, -9001.

    it would be better tu use SnD maps :D more teritory around bombsite can be used to hide ghost.

  • So, to simplify, we protect a ghost, who protects the bombsite?
  • if i understood him right u wont plant u just have to kill the enemys ghost. He used the word bombsites to describe where u are spawning
  • This mode would be a spray and pray mode... so it would suck, even if the idea itself isn't bad

    Anyways this is a good idea but why would the ghost have to stay in that area? Why not move around the whole map (SD map)?
  • aside from the Elimination style gameplay (which seems that everyone hates). We can scratch that part out

    The reason why i think the ghost should be confined because if its a SnD map, the area would be too large to search and then i would have to modify the rules like for example if the ghost cannot be killed before the time limit the team with the most kills (Team Death match style) would win. And i wanted the ghost be in a small area is so the team can be defensive(protection of the ghost) and offensive (Killing the enemy ghost) at the same, instead of all out like most of the modes. But i suppose we can let the ghost run free.

    And to add to the idea, maybe like in mutation or hero mode, the ghost can heal 3 hp for every 5 idle seconds after 30 seconds of not moving. And respawn time is around 10 seconds.
