New York
Hi there. My highschool years are almost over, and i have been thinking of college lately. Ive always wanted to go to NY, and i have though about going to NY for college. I just wanted to ask if anyone lives in NY, near the big apple or times square, and if they would tell me a bit bout life in NY. Like how hard it is to find a job, get transportation, or just normal life in NY. Any thoughts would b awesome. Thanks in advance

I live in the American Gardens Building on West 81st Street, in New York. Listen, I don't want to judge but your grammar isn't anything substantial, and knowing that tells me you're probably a below average student, and knowing that tells me you'll have no chance at any good university. Forget Harvard, forget Wharton. Move to a city like Buffalo, or Portland and go to a decent school. You'll be living an average life in Portland, but in New York? You'll probably be sleeping on a park bench. I'll have to probably feed you everyday after stumbling across you while I walk to my work, although don't expect that everyday, I can only help you so little.

Thanks fear, that was really helpful.
@tasty: I see you judge based on what u c. Just for ur information, im on the basketball team, have a 4.0 and have a job. Just cuz i dont use perfect spelling/grammer on a forum doesnt mean im a below avergae student. So dont tell me to forget my dreams. Do you always shoot people down like this? -
it's easy to find a job here... always someone hiring but in terms of life... if you don't have a car you'll be riding the train just like the other millions. metrocards are going to be even more expensive soon as well. it's a hassle but there is nothing special. some beaches are dirty while other parts are known to be clean. you'll find out yourself just don't live by a hood and you'll be good

having a high GPA and being on a team is only part of the application process. Then you need a good SAT/ACT score, essay, etc
it's fairly competitive but no one gets left behind -
It's not his fault for telling the truth.99killstreak wrote: »Thanks fear, that was really helpful.

I don't even think you are 15 judging by your grammar. -

It seems very cruel. -
Well, i moved to the US from china like 3 years ago, not knowing a single word of English. So in my opinion my grammer is pretty good for 3 years in the US. I just hate it when people judge based on waht they see and not considering the background story of a person. BTW i am turning 17 soon.
