Ladders

Has anyone else got the glitch (or w/e) that makes you very slow on ladders? I used to just fly up the ladders, now I've realized how slow I am up the ladder, I'm getting killed so often on ladders.

I went into a private game with my friends and she just flew up the ladder REAL fast, then I jump on, holding W, and I'm just crawling up. I'm looking straight up, and it's just so slow...

Can anyone help me? Thanks :]

The less FPS you have the faster you climb.
The more FPS you have the slower you climb.
I have 300 FPS-ish and i climb ladders double slower than holding shift and W.

Well i don't think i have this problem but, i do see that i got up ladders slower but it doesn't bother me to and an extent to whine about it

I noticed that too. I used to have >20 fps and I shot up the ladders... I now have 200+ and go up them painfully slow... This needs investigating

Yeah, this is so annoying. It takes forever and i usually get killed going up.

I'm not whining lol.

Exactly giggle, I used to have 20-50 FPS, then I got new computer, 200+ FPS and I'm motha ducking slow up the ladder. That is weird :S
Hopefully this could be sorted soon :]
In the mean time, stay away from ladders

Easy enough, set up a MM Tranquility and stand on the rail at the top of the platform. Watch people come up the ladder. I noticed people going slowly there as an observer, but wasn't paying attention to see if anyone else was going up faster or normal. Get some volunteers to give you their FPS and test it out.

It would be very interesting to figure out how the rate of movement on the server could be tied to the FPS on the client.

First I thought someone misspelled "laggers" lol...

But yeah, I got impression that I climb ladder very slow, much slower than most people around. Theory about FPS influence might be true, got quite decent pc that is able to display with 120-160 FPSes.

I get the same glitch.. not to mention it takes 5 minutes to spin a crate.

When climbing ladder don't look up straight ever! Instead look upfront, you will climb fast!!!
