Let's talk about English

I like it ;D There are some jokes in Russia about how we hear English speech. Some English words sound as some Russian words! Yeah! You may see it yourself. For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3nf3V054c8 -

Tho I like this by your Band.
Yeah! Nazareth is my favorite band. I began to listen rock music and further metal music since a moment I have heard a Nazareth's song. This song was the "Telegram". Really! It happened about 15 years ago. I found at home old bobbin tape-recorder and some bobbins with music records. I have taken an interest in it and I have turned on tape-recorder and have loaded first bobbin. There were Nazareth's "1976 Close Enough For Rock'n'Roll" and Rainbow's "1975 Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" on it. -
Any1 who says English is Hard: Never even think of trying Arabic
I mean it's my mother-tough and I can't master it (I'm 23 years old btw)
English is a piece of cake!!! and without even comparing it with anything
I speak Arabic, English, and German (very poor on that)
my grandma tried to teach me French but I didn't like it, and I like how Spanish sounds
but among all those (languages I know and others I don't) English is the Easiest...
btw, I used to give English lessons... so U can PM me for Help
Thank you so much. Anyway I'll send PM to you if I find something not clear. -

I'll have done it. I just have quickly looked at some links. The biggest part of your music is Pink Floyd. It is your favorite band, isn't it? My dad loves them very much. He is often listening their music. -

Is may have once been one of my most listened, tho not my favourite. I like music that makes your "Eyes" and "Mind" open up and begin to think. I like anything that makes you aware of yourself and helps you realise that you are just as important in this world as the highest or the lowest being here, no difference-no arguement-no reason to believe you are or are not.
A Quote?
"Literature is your culture wrote down for prosperity.
I love to hear your culture, see your input. Please share your knoweldge."

"Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to."

Then U are DUKED too:) -
Hi, guys. I have found some interesting and funny video. Would you like to look at it?

I think, those guys are f@ggs, aren't they? The first guy looks like a maniac, but second guy is slightly mad and stupid. This video makes me laugh. -
I don't understand a thing. Please, explain it for me. In English sentence must be only one negation. But I found it: "We don't need no water let the mother****er burn...". Is there the mistake? Is it right - "We don't need any water..." or "We need no water"?
ok, the reason it was written that way, is sort of like in the oriental languages there are multiple dialects, in this case it's just the way the sentence structure was put together by the artist.
We don't need no, is not technically correct by english standards. However spoken english is not the same as written, the rules are more lenient when you are speaking it. -

A Universal reply?
"I would not Pizz on you if you where on Fire" -
Your statement is very subjective. Every language has a plethora of exceptions when considering every aspect of the language. That, and grammer and spelling mean nothing. Grammer is just a set of rules that the majority accepts regarding rhetoric. That means that it is always subject to change, is changing, and will change. Spelling is the same concept; although it does have some roots based on various other languages: French, German, etc.

You must look at this.

What are you eating?
I am eating sushi rolls.
Blakes Progress.
The blade, the scream, the youths upheaval
becomes old Albions new evil.
The cry of foxes in the night
bespeaks the woes of Englands plight.
The desert land we call a car park
this eve behoves the devils mark.
The running steps of deeds just done
are footprints on a dying son.
The breath of night that now exhales
is a soft whisper of our fails.
For every man must take the blame
for saying this is but a game. -
The English language rules are hard. Only reason someone learning Portugese as a second language would say it's hard, is because of the different sentance structure. Learning English words might be easier, but to put them into a sentence is harder.
let me be a dck and say you spelled sentence wrong not sentance / sentence -

Hi guys. I continue my thread about English. I read some posts of this game forum. It happens, I even write something to you. I have met a new word. I couldn't find it in dictionaries and in the Internet. Will you help me? This word is "ty". What does it mean?

Hi guys! I am taking an interest in English. It is the interesting and difficult language. There are a lot of rules and exceptions in it. Grammar of English is crazy. There are a lot of tenses. In Russian there are only three tenses. Also there are the articles in English, but in Russian there are not it. And pronunciation in English makes me unhappy. In English anything is written in specific rules but it will be read and pronounced in another rules. Why is it? Let's talk about it. I would know something interesting from English speaking guys.
Then obviously you haven't studied a difficult language like German or something...
English is ridiculously easy. Just saying.
edit: yes I still study English. -
It's an English abbreviation for the word, thank you.Hi guys. I continue my thread about English. I read some posts of this game forum. It happens, I even write something to you.
