I say DSR-1 Better!
Just made 57-7 with it.
Just got used to its zoom and that's it..
QS stands for quick shootin-aka Sniper shots
DSR is better for pub stars such as yourself
I've only seen one person use it competitively, and he used it likes an awm ;p
QS stands for quick scope/quick switch
57-7 is pro!
Anyways, awm is better, althought it is personal preference.
When sniping, you just need to learn angles of the map, and have a somewhat decent aim/gamesense.
Other than that, try to not qs other than close range-sometimes mid-range- unless you're about 100% accurate. Hard-Scoping/Flick shots while jump shotting, crouching, standing up ( throwing the enemy off balance in a way ) and a Quick scope mixed in, will do more than enough imo. -

Some overall tips:
Don't focus all the waay on sniping or rifling, try to hybrid aka play rifle&sniper and play the one needed in your team at that moment.
Learn the maps/strats/diffrent angles of every map, especially S&D ones, it really helps.
(AK) try to learn how to spray and when to do it, counts for every gun I guess. -

A flickshot is where you move your crosshair to the physical location of an enemy, then shoot.
This type of shot give the advantage of a quicker kill, but obviously, can take a while to master.
For example.
A tripwire shot, on the otherhand, would be where the player waits for the enemy to enter his crosshair, before shooting. A safer technique, though there is a risk in waiting and hoping your opponent doesn't spot you.
Unfortunately I can't find any clips that aren't laughable, since these are pretty ugly shots anyways, but they get the job done. -
