Why don't games use a real ranking system based on skill anymore? Why is it all based on some bull **** system that can be abused?

I miss socom 2. Socom 2 had a ranking system based on skill. Yes it could be abused to an extent, but it had more of a purpose than this bull **** ranking system. If you played good, you ranked higher in the high scores and your rank was better. If you started playing worse, you could be demoted in ranks.

It makes me sad that all games these days use the bull **** experience ranking system.

It could still be abused, but farmers could easily be dealt with if z8 actually gave a **** about them.

Noone new has good stats when starting..

I would have to disagree with that. Some new players have been quite successful because they know how an fps works. aim+shoot=kill. If you've been on the rookie server lately you'll find out it isn't hard to get a good KDR, even if you're new.

Mine was like 3-4 K/D at that rank.
