I don't understand.

The following do not count towards any gun-counted related ribbons :

• beginner guns [for example, M700 and M16]
• temporary weapons [won from Black Market, or purchased from the mall]
• grenades or any thrown weapon
• melee weapons

As long as you have a "permanent" weapon, it counts towards the ribbon.

Well, I got mine ribbon when I afforded 14th weapon (it was RPK).

You can check my profile ( http://clan.z8games.com/charstat_cf.aspx?usn=8284335&tb=w ) and count weapons by yourself. I actually think that m700 & basic m16 counts as 1 weapon.

edit: AH XM1014 is daily mission reward, ribbon showed up way before I got this temp shotgun.
