It may be that the current version of skype has problems while running other programs, like CF. Maybe by downgrading the version the problem will go away.

And please use the

button next time, as there are a few threads made in the past regarding this.

Typing in "skype problem" will yield enough tech support threads in the past that also offer different solutions.

uninstall skype 5.3
install skype 5.1 from http://www.mediafire.com/?eyhvbhhzthp8x18 that installer.
