Assist points

Dont you guys hate when you take 99 hp from a enemy and a team mate kill steals you?

i have a new suggestion. When we take 80 - 99 hp from a player and a team mate kills him, we get assist point. one assist point counts as 1/2 kill. If you get two assist points it counts as one kills.

What do you guys think? Yes or No?

+1 also should get the kills if you plant the bomb and kill someone with it making it more tacticly as you get deaths and kills that way

Well, I don't like this suggestion.

Of course, Im mad when someone ks target that got lowered to 1hp by me and it happens 6-7 times in a row BUT:
-the amount of kills and deaths will not be equal and it will make kdr totally irrelevant.
-What is the barrier of "assist", why is it 80 or 90 hp, why it's not 75, 68 or 95? It's all artificial values, it won't shift the lack of relation between being a good player and kdr.
-what about "tanking points" for doing suicide mission as a bait that will lure opposite team from camping spots? We can try to implement more odd solutions to fix kdr-skill relation, but it will be always blurry and unjust in many ways, kill/death ratio is just a statistic and all decent players know that it has nothing to do with player's "quality".

Well, I don't mind assist points (or anything else) as a separated statistic, but leave kdr alone.

To be honest, I would like the kills to add up but in reality a kill is supposed to be a team effort as long as the overall objective is reached (to win). In real life, there is no such thing as assisted kill points. Either you have one or not. You think the real combat soldiers would hesitate to kill a threat in order to preserve the kill for another? KS is a silly thing and should be overlooked especially if you're a team player! And for clan scrims, there should be absolutely no complaining about "Kill Steals"!!!

I'm gunna have to say no.

As per the law of large numbers, the overall amount of times you get KS'd and that you KS people will be nearly identical. That being said, KS'ing is never really a problem... raging over it is silly.

@ the guy who suggested getting C4 kills... please tell me you're joking.

C4 kills are normal, you get 3 for bomb explosion if you plant and 3 for defusal in CS.

But KDR isn't tracked there usually.

well to me it would only do any good if it didnt count for a kill

just like u got for melee kills u should get for assists

How about you kill them using a normal gun? Most ARs don't get 90-100 dmg, especially if you head-shot. I honestly take it as, If I don't get the kill, I didn't deserve it. Dragging out kills past about a half second begs someone to steal it.
