Need to find a new computer once again
Well, after countless times of saying I was, I finally have to. This computer is starting to die, and I need a new pc before it dies as I have many things on this pc that I need to transfer.
I am fine with building my own PC, but I need parts suggested. I have had a few people build me some nice ones for $1000. But after bills and other unseen issues, I'm a bit low on cash.
Now, it doesn't have to be great, and I know I won't get very good for cheap, but I need it to at least, be able to play a few games at normal fps.
I also need a decent hard drive for Videos + Photshop, as I am taking a pre-college course on it as well as another more advanced Web Design Class.
Price range is from 500-1000. But lower than 1000 is better. Right now, I can spare 700, but I can get another three to five hundred before May ends.
I don't need a monitor, as I have a decent one as of now. A new mouse would be nice with atleast one side button.

It would be easier for him to use currently existing parts, hdd included, I agree with the 955 except I wouldn't go with something BE for Rex, I doubt he would be overclocking so it would be a waste imo.
The 5770 is a great card for most uses, same as the 6850. I assume he would be playing modern games high detail. -

Currently existing parts wouldn't be easier. The only thing this computer can play is Assault Cube. Even the hard drive is f'd up.aMoistmuffin wrote: »name some games you intend on playing, helps me determine what you need.
You answered yourself
VI assume he would be playing modern games high detail.
Though, detail to me isn't as important, yes, many modern games with good graphics is something I do play, well, try to atleast. Playing a game with 6 fps can be difficult. Last Night was broadcasting portal 2 with 6 FPS.
Which reminds me, I need to be able to record/broadcast with the PC. (Various Reasons)TASTELIMES wrote: »Do you already have an OS?
Atm, I don't. But that's easy to achieve, money or not. -

if you're short money, you can get something like a 5670 instead of the 6850 (5670 is still sufficient enough for gaming) I added the 6 core cpu because it's future proof. Since you aren't an avid gamer, it's better to not invest the most on the GPU like most do, it'll leave you more money for a top of the line CPU which is way more important.
how much fps would he get with this build? lets say in a 5v5 scrim -
