Need some fraps help.
Ok so basically i need some help cuz i finally decided to get sum ingame clips and just save them.
I'm not going to edit any of my clips but i'll just resize them into small clips and give them to a friend to edit them.
Ok first question what setting should i set my fraps too?
I get 200 FPS in game
I need a good quality and a small file size
then after im done recording how do i make the video size smaller with virtual dub?
a guide would be nice i couldn't find any good ones on this forums.

DX.tory have smooth videos even u have low fps pc, u can cap/limit d3d fps so u wont have fps drops/ fps laggs anymore.
freemake video converter i think it's best/ user friendly converter u can find on net.
P.S 630x360 widebox .mp4 on youtube. good results or just keep in mind 1280x720 hd resize option. -

it's not the hd space problem it's when i upload it when it's like 1gb youtube wouldn't accept it and it would take ages.Set recording fps to 120 and turn lock frame rate on. The file size will be big, but you were going to compress it anyway. I don't know about virtual dub though, I've got plenty of space in my hd so don't need it myself

That's why you take them to an editing program, render it there and then upload it. Raw .avi files are always large, unlike .wmw rendered by Sony Vegas for example.DeadlyH1n1 wrote: »it's not the hd space problem it's when i upload it when it's like 1gb youtube wouldn't accept it and it would take ages. -

I record at 50 fps I keep it full-size and set crossfire's resolution to 800x600 I record the sound and check force loss less RGB. -
If he gets 200fps why should he put it to settings like this?
I do too but for some reason fraps really hurts my framerate a lot, and file-size is an issue as well. It might have something to do with the fact that crossfire crashes a lot on my computer, I dunno.
I use to set it to the highest resolution and record at 80 fps and it worked fine. -

Also, when you set it to 120fps (which is appearently the max fraps can record at) and check the lock framerate, it will automatically set your fps to the highest one you can get while being stable. (for example, I get 200fps ingame, and when I start recording it goes down to smooth 80) -

I'll try it, but CF has been acting REALLY strange since the spring patch so getting ingame even is a challenge.
