how do they profit from this?
i would think scoped has to be lower since u want to aim precisely Oo

After much fiddling around 20 mouse sensitivty.Anything more is a bit too sensitive. I have a basic office mouse. But what is all this about DPI? Is this an option you only get when you buy a gaming mouse? I have never seen anywhere in windows options about DPI settings.

mine is normal 35 and scope is 40

i use an office mouse too
gaming mice are worthless anyway

here u see how to set the DPI of a normal mouse
200 is max, 100 is default

I cant find this option.Is it available on xp? Its not under mouse settings in control panel.

yes this is XP Sp3
is your mouse connected with USB or with PS2?
if USB try PS2
there should be a USB to PS2 connector looking like this

u must restart after plugging into PS2

then the option sould be available

For Christmas, my hair bought us a Razer Naga which I enjoy the use of. Except for the 12 buttons on the side, which took some getting used to.

Have to do that because if I use 1800 DPI, 1 isn't sensitive enough (more than 50cm/360) and 2 is TOO sensitive. Gotta love these asian developers that use whole numbers for sens instead of fractions like REAL Games do, causing the sens to DOUBLE in sensitivity from 1 to 2 (look at CSS for instance...can go from 0.1, 0.15, 0.20, 0.9, 1, 1.05....)

And it's not just those asian developers either...many console ports are just as bad...

I can't seem to find anything like that on my desktop.Only usb sockets at the back.
