Ping unstable

Hi guys...
I have got a problem, sometimes my ping is 105, but sometimes not, rises to 130/140...!
But if I leave the game and the room and go back inside, tends to decrease again...!

The strange thing is that doing a tracert with the server, always shows me 100/105 >,<!
This happens on all servers :(

I do not know if it's my ISP, because, last year it did not happen, started from the latest patches.

I dont use firewall!

Anyone has idea?

Thx!

Same here, My Ping used to be 90 in all the servers now my ping start from 200-250 and it end with 1000 "4 Digit" I can't play crossfire for over 3 weeks till now. It actually start from 2-3 weeks till now.

My firewall is off, and i'm the only one who access Internet at my house. I also tried to play on a different Machine (My Laptop) The result stay the same.

  • I work for an ISP in the US and we have some basic troubleshooting steps you can complete to see if you have an issue.

    1. run some speed tests, see what speeds you are getting. http://speedtest.net, http://testmy.net are two good tests.

    2. start a ping via the computer. I like to pinging red.com because it's easy to spell and they are always up. See what kind of ping times you are getting with just a normal ping.

    3. Are you wireless? Have you power cycled your modem, router and computer? Try making a wired connection instead, after restarting all of your equipment.

    4. Try a different computer.
