Crossfire Screen Capture and Video Cuting Prog.

Hey i have testet some progs 4 video capturing:
WeGame:
-Stoped by HGW...
Wink:
-468 Pictures are too less (Video stopped at 468...)
CamStudio:
-Nice Video but no Sound
Fraps:
-Nice Video quality but it slows the game ( if u take 60 fps u have 60 fps)
-Makes 5 little Videos from 8 minutes playtime (not 1 big video)

I dont know if it give better freeware programms (i know Fraps isn´t) can u give me a tip which programms would be better?
And i need a video cuting programm but there i have no knowledge... (and i think windows movie maker isn´t good enought ) pls Freeware
thx

  • well yes i tried it but the sound is too fast or the vid too slow idk...
should mean i hear the shot and 3 seconds later the enemy fall in the video
  • If your computer is decent FRAPS shouldn't be an issue. You can choose to record at higher than 60FPS by inputting a custom number, and I would recommend you to get a full version so you don't get stopped.

Any freeware recorders and editors I've seen pale in comparison with paid programs. I don't think it's honestly worth it unless you have a crazy conscience and no money.

Sony Vegas to edit, Fraps or Playclaw to record (Playclaw records smaller, compressed files and hits your FR less).

Also, you could consider recording to a separate hard drive if the rest of your hardware is good, should increase FPS.

is surely the fraps. MAN. beyond the configurations Easy .. the video quality is also good.
about the fps, there is an option where you set it manually, then set the maximum allowed. Even with 80 fps, the game and recording are a beauty!
  • I use Fraps, recording to an external Hard Drive and works ok, but even at higher FPS feels laggy, i think that the best is to record on another computer, Main crossfire PC + Video out (Svideo,Composite..) --> Record pc (video capture card) :P
  • Use Camtasia studios if your serios. Wont lag at all. No joke.
