Most of the time, armor will let you withstand 1-2 more shots (assuming that they all hit the chest or gut. It won't protect from limb shots). With the bullet proof helmet, it's the same concept.
The protection varies by the type of bullet (rifle and high-caliber pitol rounds penetrate easier than SMG and small-caliber pistol rounds).
I don't see how this makes an armor wearer a noob... you're basically just paying for an occasional situation involving a long firefight... otherwise, the effect is negligible.
The only truly useful benefit is the protection that the Bulletproof Jackets offers from frag grenades and Wide Nades. It'll basically let you survive an explosion that's within 1-2 meters of your position. -

there isnt something like "enough" when it comes down to power and durability in war -
Armor and the helmet is not noob. And technically neither is any of the guns. People just complain, rage, and QQ because they feel that you should play fair in a public game, when public game is open to everything except 3rd party programming (e.g. Hacks). If its a private room with rules, then respect them, otherwise, anyone who calls you a noob does not relish a challenge.
I personally, if i encounter a lagger with armor, will have 1 absolute hell of a time jumping around shooting him, just because when i finally do hit him, it makes it all worth it. Also, it makes you a very adaptable player in any situation. -

I can feel it SOMETIMES. Because I can't explain how but my finger stops shooting because it know when people should die (after extensive gameplay) and that's when I notice it because I stop shooting (my finger automaticly does, weird I know) but the person doesn't die. -

Actually, all of you are completely missing it.
While the bulletproof vest only requires 1 more bullet to kill with a rifle, it pretty much makes shotguns useless. Someone with a bulletproof vest, getting shot POINT BLANK by a desp or an xm1014/A, only loses about 45 to 60 hp, plus half their armor. That tank will basically murder a shotgun user if he doesn't land a headshot or if the armor wearer's crosshair isn't jerked off target by the first blast. -

eh? While using armors I wouldnt speak anything about lack of skill. Buying helmet / armor definitely gives you advantage which is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBIS.
If you would be skilled enough you wouldnt have to buy such advantages to stay alive. -
