It's easy to learn and get working, it's just sometimes you may want to go further and the program just doesn't allow for it easily (like adding a skybox...).

Personally, I'd just use another game's mapping program to do it...
Google "Cube 2 : Sauerbraten"...the mapping in that is extremely easy to learn, and alot more functional then google sketchup...but it's a pain making smooth/curved shapes.

PS to the sheep MODs who run this place...the engine is FOSS, so it's not going to cut into your profits if people want to make maps in it...

Maybe Smilegate should start work on CF 2.0...new GFX engine, better mechanics, etc.

They should have never tried to copycat CS in the first place...
