Unlike people tend to think I don't by Razer products just because they're Razer but because the product is good. Their bungee solution was crap (Razer Armadillo) so I got the best one I could find.
Before purshasing something I read alot of stuff about various products on the internet and look at almost every alternative product. Then only I ask for it or buy it if I've been given money for my birthday. -
Aye, likewise. That and I've been working in the tech industry for 6 years, so I already typically know what's good and what isn't. Being a nerd can be nice.:cool:Unlike people tend to think I don't by Razer products just because they're Razer but because the product is good. These days, I just buy stuff myself thanks to a job.:p

You're easily looking at 350+ FPS with that. I get about 230 FPS with my machine that's about half the power (besides the RAM) but the Core i7 and nice graphics card is really gonna help you. I'm not sure why people are under the belief that CF is capped at 200 FPS because it sure as hell is not...
I've said this before, but even the mods don't believe me.
The game IS SUPPOSED to be capped at 200 FPS. The problem is, the cap doesn't work correctly.
Notice that on the server selection screen, the FPS is uncapped.
Then on the channel selection screen, it goes right back to 200 FPS.
Now, go into tutorial. Guess what you get right at the beginning? 200 FPS!
In combat with other players, sometimes it goes UP to 230 FPS when things are happening on the screen, like grenades or smoke, or when looking at certain areas of the map, or when there is other action.
It should be obvious to anyone with a brain, why SOME areas reach 200 FPS, then later on in the game, on the same map, it spikes up to 210, 220, 230, then goes back to 200.
Crossfire isn't coded on a proper fullscreen direct3D video resolution. It uses a windowed video mode, even when you use fullscreen, but its also not "True" windowed mode, either, because true windowed mode games don't get suspended when you alt tab out of them. Crossfire's windowed mode performs "Sort of" like windowed mode, while its fullscreen mode simply makes its windowed mode fullscreen. It's not a true fullscreen D3D mode. But this mode also prevents the "Vertical sync" video card feature from working correctly, unless you force it with third party utilities--even in windows XP, which natively supports Vsync in the video card drivers, unlike Windows 7 (which only supports it in the application's options, unless a third party overrider, like Ati Tray tools or D3Doverrider are used.
This is why, when you alt tab out of crossfire, your desktop is running in 800x600 while in the lobby, and in the in-game resolution after a room is launched, instead of the desktop settings.
Silkroad online and Sudden Attack also use the same type of video mode. This seems to be quite popular with Korean developers....probably because it's simpler to use.
Combat Arms, which uses the same game engine as the above two games (you can tell by just setting your mouse polling rate to 1000hz, and watch how much it squiggles and feels like you're swimming in molasses, when you try to turn or pan up/down in a straight line, plus the HUGE amount of positive mouse acceleration present, unless you set it to 125hz polling), does use a proper directX full screen video mode.
And before a mod tries to argue with me again about this, I have Unwinder on my ICQ list--the author of Rivatuner and co developer of MSI afterburner, who I've known for over ten years. He knows far more about video hardware than anyone here. I shouldn't have to bring Alexey here to get this straight. Heck, just go to the guru3D forum...
