The RPD is a very light machine gun made in the Soviet union and based on the AK-47. Like the AK74, it's relative is the RPK, a more powerful and heavier machine gun. Strangely, the RPD is older than the AK47 so the body would be inspired from this weaponry.
The RPD is a GP Black market item

We have too many rifles, SMGs and reskins than MGs. Consider this before you post something like this.Suggest something that we really need for once, not MGs.

Like any one uses MGs for the majority of their kills, they just do it for the bloody fun of it and for MM and HM, which is all bugged up with mexican and BR hackers. -

I bet players never use their mgs anywhere so they have to use it in MM/HM although the ammo clip is useful. -
