Instead of using the router, plug in a ethernet cable from the router to your PC. It makes life way easier. Reason being...
1. When you have a router, your PC is making constant talk with the router to the internet. The reason why people spike usually is because there's a glitch that makes the "talk" be delayed. So even though you did hit a button before someone, you end up getting knocked back.
2. The ethernet cable will be streaming at 100mbps not 54 so you'll have a more stable ping and smoother gameplay. Not to mention that since your PC isn't working as hard to keep the "talk", your fps may improove as well.
3. where's my 10k zp? :P -

I don't care much for the 10k zp but I do care to help you get this resolved so you can play again. Also that test will take around 5-7 minutes to run and you will need to allow it via windows firewall when it ask as well as allow the java run time to install there content to be tested. The test is 100% legit as this is one of the ones I use at work to help troubleshoot problems.

I downloaded it, also ran it (verified it was legit earlier) and sent him the report, having removed references to my specific IP. -
With just a quick google search "DGN1000 issues with online games" I found similar problems with many other games. If your internet is running ok, ping 38ms, download 3+ mbps its clearly that the problem comes from the router.
Someone suggested not using the router, but that may not be possible in some cases. If you have only one PC connected to the internet, try to remove the router and connect directly from the modem, if thats your config.
Example:
If you dont have a modem, just a wireless router I think thats the problem. From what I read the router has a builtin parental control of some sort which automotically blocks some applications.

Live Parental Controls, powered by OpenDNS™- Blocks unsafe Internet content and applications
- Customise settings through Web browser, accessible remotely
- Protects connected devices through the router such as PCs, gaming consoles, and iPod touch® And it’s FREE! See CD inside for installation

Pm me if that worked, those 10K zp sparkled my curiosity

if none of these work i think you need to increase the timeout on your router. the timeout is the amount of time between signal leaving, and signal coming back. if its too great, the process times out, connection is lost.
http://classicasp.aspfaq.com/general/how-do-i-increase-timeout-values.html
this should help increasing the timeout time (in MS) you may need to do this to your router, or your computer, or both. dont go too high, or you will start to get a slower connection, cloged by a bunch of old protocols. -
There are 2 reasons why this may happen; 1) Your pc is too slow..therefore loading crossfire is delayed. "connection delayed". But you said you had 200 FPS?
2) It's regarding your router, maybe one of the wires got messed up which is conflicting with cf. Try disconnecting your router and connecting your pc straight with the modem cable. Let me know if it still says the same.
