Restricted Server.
I know Z8games wouldn't restrict the servers for only NA players but I've noticed that a few months ago I had 170 ping in the us west coast server and now I have 250. Today I noticed that in canadian servers(Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot) I have 200ping when I used to have 130 in the past days. I only have a "good ping" in US south server (140ping).
Are you guys increasing the ping for south americans in canadian and us west servers?

@dot, if I were american, I'd wish the same. I shouldn't be playing this game since there are some games where I have 10ping. However, I've been playing this game for so long that I'm too lazy to play another game. Cross Fire will be my last online computer game I'll play in my life. -
It's not an overall problem
I have a regular ping in us south...
I can even get a better ping in UK servers rather than canadian servers.
I'm pretty sure it's not an ISP problem.

I can test my ping and it says I got 137 from peru to Ontario. However, in game it's totally different since the last xtrap update.

It's like Z8games wants south americans to play only in us south servers. -
first you are from latin america and there are bads pings and internet. second you've lost packets or you are losing packets
True that most south americans ISPs really overpriced their products. Just tested my ping again.

In USA South my ping is never below 138 which is not worthy to play :S. -

It's a xtrap restriction. Tomorrow we'll have a new in game patch not a xtrap patch.
I'm pretty sure it was on purpose and I don't care but I guess clan server shouldn't be restricted. -
I sincerely doubt that it's my ISP that's causing me to have triple digit ping (again). This I know as a fact because I am using a loaner PC at the office where I'm interning at. I've played a round in alpha and had 150 some-odd ping when it always has been here, 56. Then I go to delta and have my normal 56 ping. So I guess migrate to delta and other servers and have the other ppls play in Alpha-Charlie until they fix it.

We have a strict plan in place which monitors everyone's ping. And when we don't like a user we press a button and it magically increases their ping by 65 points.
Now that you know our secret I'll reveal that there was never anything done to "restrict" servers in this way. We have almost no control over the ping you experience on a day to day basis. If your ping goes up and it was our fault, it is likely due to server traffic.
But the reality is there are a million things that can affect ping. The game decides to give you a number for this. The downfall is that everyone assumes that when that number changes by a few points everyone throws a fit because there was something drastic changed on the servers.
We can assure you that if we ever implement something that is DESIGNED to affect your ping, we will be making PLENTY of announcements for it.
When I play the game here not too far from the server my ping can go from 5 to 25! It's amazing how we didn't do anything and yet my ping changes.
Lag issues show up all the time, and things will stabilize and you'll see ping decrease.. or maybe it was just bad weather and your ping decided to go up by 60 points that day. -

By the way, when I first logged today I got a stable ping of 105 in Alpha (my best so far and way better than anyone from South America Ive ever seen). Logged out and when I came back my ping was spiking really bad, from 109 to 600!!! in Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Echo and Foxtrot. But in Delta I got a stable 199, which is a lot higher than my regular. In US West Coast I always get a bad ping so I never join it, but tried it and my ping was as usual there: 265 :S. In UK Servers my ping is my usual: 168-200.
I wonder why this is happening. I know people from many countries with this issue (very altered and spiking pings), even from Canada in the Ontario area. Hope this to be fixed soon.
