"I only play cf for rank"
wut? I once saw someone on youtube say this... they also went on to say that one day when they reach max rank they will stop playing cf. I don't understand this. of all things you play cf for you play it for something that doesn't matter? Ive tried farming before.. its the one of the most boring things ive ever done. So I don't understand why people play for rank.

There are many kind of people, dont lose your time and mind to understand it.
This person looks for Ranks to tell others: - Hi! I'm special rank. Love me, I'm special. Love me, I'm the best. -

Some people play games for a sense of achievement. That is why RuneScape is so popular. Other people play games for fun, which is why the COD series is so popular.
People have different interpretations of achievement or fun, even if it seems crazy/dumb. -

Good point, although I do love a sense of achievement while playing a game I don't understand the people who grind every skill on Runescape to 99 for hours and hours and hours. To each his own I guess -
People become power hungry, and enjoy having that high rank. You may say it's egotistic, but if they play the game for the rank, it's their choice. I play the game for the forums and the decent competitive scene. I used to play established games such as Counterstrike, with established competitive scenes, and I've found that it's very hard to make a name for yourself. Playing new games gives you a chance to become known as the game is small, and be able to help. Then, once you're established, you're fine.
People say they play Cross Fire for WOGL, ESL, and [before] CSN and VGSL. Nobody holds that against them. People say they play Cross Fire for the weapons, nobody judges them. Rank means nothing to the public, but to them, it could be the one "fun" factor
