Replay question

When a mod looks at a replay for proof of hacking, what do they look for?

Comments

  • depends on what you said in ticket about hack type they were using.
  • Clan Lts and me use the replays to look at potential recruits and was just wondering if the mods use any special tricks to spot cheaters by using the replays.
    Thanks
  • i doubt they have any 'special' tricks. Just one tip, dont watch in first person. Always watch in 3rd person view because if they are aimbotting you cannot see the 360 in 1st person view ;)
  • Here's just a quick list of cheating and what the support and report section looks for [not official, just an assumption]:
    • Chams [looking through walls hack] - the player is staring through walls at another player on the other team, he then precedes to prefire and kill him
    • No recoil / spread - the player sprays, and bullets all hit one spot [doesn't happen, ever, not even with the M12s]
    • One hit kill hack - this is obvious, the player is one hitting everybody all of the time
    • Aimbot - the player does a 360 rotation after making a headshot frag
    • Fly hack - the player is flying.. duh?
If speaking of cheats is against the rules, feel free to remove this, I'm just trying to outline how the support and report section looks for hackers.

What about the ones that walk through walls and can shoot you from
under the ground, what do you call that?

I think it's a "walk-through-walls hack". If not, the RuneScape term would be "no-clip" hack.

Does it matter? They're still walking around and shooting you from under the ground, it's not hard to spot those ;). Especially if they do it, round after round, kill after kill, shot after shot.

It matters if you're the one getting shot by it!

Could you give us some more.
    Like what is waller means.
There need to be some standard definition.

I don't think he will get banned.
They don't want us to discuss who should be banned and who should not.
And there are still lots of obvious hacker not banned yet, why bother a forumer just used it once? He confessed any way, means he will not do that again, maybe.

Let's hope so. It's very noobish to even want to cheat at a game to start with.

If they can't beat me fair and square then I have no use for them. Put em' all
in the same pile as far as I'm concerned.
