XTRAP Error: 08-0400-00000000-509

Yours is telling you that an external program is stopping it from running, my error is saying something in my OS is corrupt AND I may have something open that's stopping it. The fact is, I closed everything but google chrome at the time, immediately after I restarted my computer. I haven't installed anything or changed anything, this error just started happening and now I haven't been able to play since. No, I highly doubt google chrome is the problem because I've tried restarting and the only thing I run is CF. I close everything I can, with or without the firewall on and nothing works. Everything else on my computer works completely fine, except for CF. I can play SC2, LoL, Vindictus, Atlantica, WoW, Black Ops. The only game that I can't play is CF, and CF happens to be my favourite and most played.

Well, do what I did, on your thread, post pictures of your task manager to show the processes running when you try to open CF. Someone will see it and hopefully that someone will know what's stopping it.

Thanks a lot, I tried it and it works, BUT just to let everyone who reads this, I've had my "new" computer for over 3 months now, never shut down EVGA Precision when playing CF, in fact, sometimes I messed around with my fan speed on it during games. If there's any techie out there that knows why it suddenly started giving me this error, I'd still like to know.

I looked up RTSS.exe and it's part of EVGA Precision and I always have EVGA run on startup, as I said before, I have never experienced this error till now, and I've played with EVGA running before. My check on the internet said that RTSS can sometimes be seen as a virus or OS error, which I find funny. I think when I ran CCleaner, it did something and really screwed up how XTRAP saw RTSS.

It's a little bit tedious and kind of a hassle to have to have this incompatibility between these two programs that I use. I use Precision to check my computer's temperate and change the fan speed, especially during strenuous high end games. I'll use this as my solution for now... but I'd like it if someone could find a different way. CF doesn't heat my computer up at all, but you know, I'm picky and I didn't have this problem before, so why now?

WTFAWP: You never did post what your error was, nor have you said if your error was the same. I suggest you make your own thread about it if it's still occuring.

Shuck: Reinstalling twice after watching it fail both times is unnecessary. If you don't know how to fix these problems, you usually try any fixes you can find on the internet, eventually, you'll fix it; trial and error. Trial and error has shown here that it won't work, I really don't think that will help him. I'm not sure, I mean, it might, but I doubt it. Reinstalling your graphics driver is much different than what is causing the errors I'm having, and obviously, shutting down programs doesn't always help. These sorts of errors are very specific, and the problem in this thread was fixed by shutting down a program (I know you're trying to help out and fix WTFAWP's problem, but please...) Also, saying your glitch wasn't fixed by shutting down ASUS GamerOSD is like saying, saying, "I can't drink milk with my ear." Obviously in this situation, the solution would be the mouth. Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC Monitor may be a monitoring program and is the same type of program as your ASUS GamerOSD, but they're still different. The mouth and the ear are both part of the human body, but they're different in their respective ways.

Lesson of this post: Please specify what you're talking about or else people can't help you. Also, watch what you say. Read before you post. Here's a suggestion to help you out: Say what you type out loud, or think out how it sounds in your mind before you post it. Oh, and really, make your own thread about it if it's not the same error as mine. Right now, I'm the only one exposed to your problem, and it might not even be the same as the one specified in this thread's title. The people that can help you might be out there but they don't know you're having this problem because they're looking for one's they can fix, and the one in this title may be one they can't.
