'Failed download Patch File' - April Patch

What the Hell is fcking wrong with the Forum, the Admins and the Guys from the Support ??

Since the damn it April Patch, so many User write here in the Forum, that they need Help.
I wrote 4 or 5 times here and I get no Help !!
Okay, maybe no1 can help at the moment.. but why the Forum Admins always delete the Threads ?????????????????

There is no other Thread wich can help me!! I read the Forum since 5 Days and I have enough. I feel ****ed, punked, sad and mad !! It was the last time I spend Money for this fcking Game.

I was cool, I was gentle.. Now I feel spoofed and furious

HOW CAN ONE LEAVE ITS CUSTOMERS ONLY IN SUCH A WAY IN THE PASS ???

That suck !!! Delete this Thread again.. I dont care -.-'

  • April thread was a joke...there was no patch (it was April fools day)

  • It has patched, so there was a patch... and yea... it sucks!

    My CrossFire got some Bugs in Clanwars (i couldnt read the Chat), so i wanted to re-install it... and now i always get "Failed to download Patch File"...

    1. Put a real Patcher
    2. Upload a Patched version on Crossfire-Homepage -.-

    If someone pls could upload his version on Megaupload, i would thank him so much...

    (Upload the folder and the desktop-icon to start)...

    Status: close (like the others 2)
    Help: None

    Why I get no Mail like: 'Thanks for your Money.. you can't play?.. we don't care :P' ??

    Now I have to work to earn Money and if some1 ask me something and I can't answer, I try to handle it like here: I delete the one -.-'
  • Yep, CrossFire won't patch on this computer. It's already patched on my main computer, so no problems there, but no going for the rest of you kids, heh heh heh.
  • I got with every patch a problem that it fails to patch CF from 1 to 10 times.
    I just keep repatching it until it works.

    Sometimes it takes only 1 repatching, with bad luck I have to do it atleast seven times again. ^^'
    Please be patient. =)
    Sorry, that some of us can't explain the stuff even if wanting to help.
    Don't you have for example your friends' msn or something so could ask their help, if they would know solution in your problem?

    Believe me, I tried all possible and legal things I could find, to solve this problem.
    Nothing works!
    It isn't a Problem just of my System/PC or my Internet connection.
    And in 6 Days I re-patched CF many Times.
    I don't understand why some have the Problem and others don't have.
    In the End I think I (we) have to wait until the next Patch (March Patch)

    Re-installing, patching while firewall is turned off, patching while you don't have any other programs running background..?
    Want to give me more detailed information, please? =)
    Maybe I can figure out something what might help you.. ^^

    I started CF and the April Patch started for the first Time, after 1-2 Seconds I get the Message 'Failed to download Patch File' and I was kicked back to Desktop, than I started CF again und the Patchwindow opened and start a quick Patch.
    I entered the Game, entered a Server and tried to enter a Channel:
    'Try to connect to Channel. Please wait.'
    Ok.. I wait.. and wait and wait: 2 Minutes, 3 Minutes.. 5 Minutes, nothing happens
    I thought: Hm.. okay, Sh*t happens.. let's do it again and I did it, always with the same result: The Games just stopped!!
    Ok, Ticket to Support, uninstalled the Game, installed it.. all fine, no Problems.. until the Patch: 'Failed to download Patch File' -.-*
    I opened my Browser Z8Games > Forum > Cross Fire > Cross Fire Technical Support and I saw many many Threads of Users with the same Problem, but no Help.
    It was last Weekend and I thought: Okay, on Monday someone will read it and will help!

    FAIL!!!

    Still on Weekend most of the Threads were deleted -.-
    Simply so deleted without Reaction !!
    I wrote my own Thread: Many Users wrote in there, same Problem but no helpful Answer.
    Some Hours later, Thread deleted -.-
    I read the whole Technical Support Forum, no helpful Answer.
    2 times on the Day I uninstall CF, delete separately the Z8 Folder, reboot my PC, install CF (anti virus software disabled).. all fine, UNTIL THE PATCH.. always the Patch -.-

    I had before never problems with CF. I changed nothing on my System! It is everything like before!
    In the meantime I had again contacted the Support. Ticket Status: close -.-

    No Mail, no Answer.. no Help !!
    It isn't funny any longer

    For me atleast. ^^

    It should give you somekind of error with the file name or something, when it fails to patch it?
    And have you tried to download newest installer?

    And I have a Patch Log:

    [8]20:32:13 It's maxed over that downloadable counting : version [1064] section [1] diff [D]

    (I dont know what it means)

    We have had enough it is no longer a joke...
    the game was fine till the April patch....
    Always the fricking patchs aint it?
    I mean no other game probably have these problems but this?
    Or am i wrong but please.... just fix the game
  • same problem with one difference... Connection to North American servers (from Alpha to Foxtrot) failed at Step 2 and shows message "MM Server Connection Failed". All other servers works normal to me
  • I have the exact same problem. It fails; same message you get, I retry, it works, but then "Client corruption detected" or something like that. I have tried everything and am tired and I want an actual solution. I was able to play the game perfectly fine before, but then this patch comes out and it isn't working.

    That looks quite interesting..
    I mean, I got it a bit different looking myself..
    When I get home, I'm trying to reinstall CF to my own computer and let's see if I get any problems with it.
    Btw, which op you got? Vista, Win7 or maybe Xp?
    If you got Vista, then I have to say that I can't help you with that. =/

    Just give me some time and I'll try to figure out how it can be "fixed".

    My OS is XP.. but I had never Problems befor with it.
    I think CrossFire Patcher v5 is the Problem!

    And just so can be random once in a while:
    Xp is best. It still powns even Win7 ^^
    (^Only my opinion)

    What have you tried to get it work?
    Did you try to patch it while firewall is off?
    When I had my old comp (with XP) I always had to shut firewall, before patching/launching game.

    i just went to all programmes z8games start and it worked
    i wa at the login screen and i shut it down because iwant to say this to you guys, but now i can't go to the login screen this is what i get.

    Delete that file and launch CF again.
    That should fix it. =)
