Game Freezes after trying to join server/channel/game/end game
Hello Admins,
I can always login via the main screen.
I am having an issue where Sometimes I cant connect to a server. If I get lucky enough to connect to a server, I cant join a channel. If i get lucky enough to connect to a server, join a channel, i cant switch teams, ready up, or access storage, inventory, or settings. The game freezes and i have to close the game via task manager. The game status in task manager says it is running normally. I get NO error logs in my event viewer.
I am running windows xp service pack 3, nvidia drivers, 32 bit. I have rebooted my modem, did the uninstall according to the forum posts. My next step is formatting my hard drive; which i really don't want to do.
FYI: i also get this error on my windows 7 64bit laptop. same exact issue.
There are no new errors in C:\CFLog or in the Z8games directory.

wellcome to the club.
there are a lot of people complaining about this since april first and anyone of the support team has said anithing yet about it.
i honestly don't think they are gonna help us.
BTW I have the same problem as you.
I read in some other post that format your drive will help but i'm not sure. -

I had something like this. I only have login freeze (sometimes) and game freeze (all the TIME) -
i doubt reformat would fix this issue; as i installed the game on my laptop which has a competely seperate OS installed; and i have the same issue. Just have to wait and see if there is a fix. Seems like they may need to re-release the patch? some registry errors?

OMG MAN I HAVE TO SAME PROBLEM I SWEAR DOWN BRUV THIS IS ****ING ME OFF I HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE THE SPRING PATCH this is my problem This has happened since the patch before. The problem is that Crossfire starts to freeze at a certain time. I've noticed that I have a couple of seconds to join a game before my Crossfire stops to work. It doesnt give me errors and my Crossfire doesn't close. Its like the game just paused on me. Sometimes it freezes at "Connecting to server". Other times, it freezes at "Connecting to channel." If I manage to get into a game room, the "Join Game" button would sometimes not work, and if I do get ingame, I would be able to play normally but when I look at the score board, the players that joined after me would have no name. After the game, the "Loading game results" would take longer than usual to finish loading. Also, when it finishes loading the game results, it would only show my character and that would be it, no names are shown on the score board. So it didn't really load anything on the score board. When I press "OK" at the bottom right, I would go back to the game room and it would have everyone who has been playing in the game that just finished just like a normal Crossfire, but that is when the freeze starts. None of the buttons really work except for the "X" which I can only exit out of the game. Everytime I get this "freeze" I would have always force quit or use the "X" in Crossfire. Thnx for reading. Or sometimes it will load and i can play a match then when the match ends the results dont show and it just freezes so i have to keep restarting cf.. plz help (This hasn't happened before) same as u -
