800x600 is better? Lol on my 20 inch 1080p widescreen monitor 800x600 is blocky.
And speaking of resolution I love the new widescreen resolution they built into this patch, but I hate how I have to restart CF like 20 times every time I want to join a game.
And on the highest resolution CF allows in an 8v8 I usually get around 130 fps. And for some strange reason I keep forgetting to get an HDMI cable instead I've been using the VGA cable and adapter that came with it. -
too bad CF has only those sucky resolution.
this game is behind the current industry with about 5-6 years, from the point of graphics, interface, reg system, animations....and pretty much everything else.
while other games focus more on the ability to customize a users experience through unique items, weapons, powers, this game is as dull as CS 1.1, if anyone remembers that oldie.
im not trying to diss this game, i play it, but seriously, its about damn time it has some upgrades...............its fallen behind -
It's not a metter of graphics for me, 800x600 just feels better for my reaction.
I can run it on wide 8v8 w/ about 85-90 fps no prob
but 800x600 seems to fit better for a 4:3 ratio and it just seems like a better gameplay idk
and yeah this one is a 50 plasma
and the one on the other living room is a 55 lcd -
Fun fact: 800X600 on a 15'' CRT and 800X600 on a 120'' plasma will have the same FPS. Resolution affect FPS count, not screen size.
Otherwise, looks like fun :P
Hmmm idk about that when I play 800x600 on my moitor i get upto 180frames
avg is about 140 -

agreed....
i get 230 on my 42. with 1078 resolution . . .n about the fps on my 23 monitor -
Buying a pc monitor is a really stupid idea honestly, they are like $250-400 for 18-24 inch when you can get a 32 inch TV for a monitor for that money. Plus you can watch TV and have Picture in picture to kill time.
My thoughts exactly... My tv in my bedroom is also my monitor. Only downside is that I can only watch TV/play my PS3 OR go on my PC on this tv... I got a spare 15 inch monitor though so its not too much of a problem -

This sir right here beat me too it.
Although it won't be coming through in 1080p, it'll still look nicer

Thats true, but when I hook up 2-3 displays to my video card, my temp goes up from around 30 to 70 and my fps drops by a lot

That's because it's using full resolution on dual monitors.
You need a higher amount of GPU RAM to successfully do this.
2GB ftw

You would think a 570 GTX GPU wouldn't struggle with multiple displays but mine is just barely chugging along and im worried about the temps. It isn't overclocked though. -

That GPU should cope just fine under most resolution settings, or does it just struggle when it gets hot?
If you're worried about temps now, I wouldn't bother with an OC

as soon as I plug in multiple displays without even entering any program, just staying in desktop temps increase. Then when I run games, temps go even further and fps is low. Still playable, just temps get so high, sometimes 15-20 degrees from the card's maximum.

Hmmm...
Weird.. my laptop handles duel displays w/o any issues, what's your Graphics card? -

Here is my setup. 37 inch for the TV, 32 inch for the PC, and a 17 inch for dual monitors for browsing and watching movies
sorry for a double post BUT.
I like how there's just a book lying on the table, like people are actually gonna believe you read instead of playing xD -
