Hey all,
I'm Kinda new here but I've been reading a lot of threads and trying to post some of my own
I noticed something (and I hope I'm wrong): most old forumers are mean to new ones!!!
thank God no1 have been mean to me, but most of Holy.... w.e keep posting harsh replies saying stuff like "learn English", "you don't even know how to post", "Your avatar suk", "get a life", or "GTFO of the forum"
I don't know about U, but I don't like that
I wish for them to be more Helpful... Cuz I can be forever in ur debt when u teach me something (specially something u think is basic)
And I wanna learn lots of stuff about how to post, follow, and communicate with U guys on the forum
I hope we can start making some old-new friends by supporting this thread
and plz forgive me if I done something that might or may offend YOU...

Depends on where you post...
Barracks: e-peen swinging and ego-boosting. Don't expect kind words there. (unless you think "cool story, bro" is kind)
Clan: Most people will wish you good luck with your search for members/clan. Although the "you are trash" people show up from time to time.
Tournament: mostly normal posts, but a smaller community, still with some "I am better than you"
Weapons & Gear/Maps: Whining about stuff they want/don't get. More whining in the replies. Questions that have been answered over and over again.
Suggestions: usually dumb ideas with even dumber replies; it seems that something shuts the entire brain down for most people that make a thread. Also some blatant whining without giving any better ideas.
Tech support: 20 threads about the same thing that get answered once and then everyone thinks they're being ignored. Bumpity-bump?
OT: Everything: kind ppl, "I'm better than you", "trash", "lern2english", grammar nazis (who usually fail at it),...,...,...
Player Photos: "oh you so pretty *drool* *drool*/lol, you ugly, *flame on*"
If you want people to teach you something and be friendly to you, or actually take time to reply properly and after thinking about it, search a good clan for yourself and ask them. The chances of getting a decent reply there are way higher than getting one here. If I were a (wannabe)jedi, I'd say "These are not the forums you're looking for". But I'm not, so I won't say it.

If you're not stupid and can talk English.
The makings of stupid/useless posts/threads will make the "newbs" look stupid and then what you call "mean" will happen.

I mean u're an Old pale (I don't mean ur age), maybe u have more connections than me... and u know all types of ppl, maybe you can even make a group or w.e (like the MODHUB thing) u can call then SupportHUB or w.e to help newbies like me and set an example to oldies :PIf you're not stupid and can talk English.

anyway, U're a wise guy... and I think u know that making new friends and attracting ppl to the forum will give u a better exp eventually, even if u had to teach every1 of them everything
So U can be happy, popular, and loved... and they can get the answers they are looking for, just if you tried to be lil more Nice

or when was the last time you replied to a thread after u read all the posts just to prevent old or answered ideas?

I have nothing against competition and that side of the community. But they should learn to keep the trash talk away from the forums and use more of their time in game.
I'm not saying the casual side of the community on the forums is any better. But it is the larger side. And it is the side that has more of those who play for the fun of it and respect others in the community. Sadly not too many of them use the forums. Mostly because of the trash talking/trolling/etc going on here. -

It was useless cuz that team didn't have any authority, didn't they?
I think we need support from Z8 for that... not to give certain ppl authority on others, not even to hire more ppl to support and check the forum... cuz mostly they won't do any of that
but if they made a flagging system for all forumers to use... that will help us highlight offensive, unappropriated, or duplicated posts for MODs or GMs to remove!!!
I think that will allow us to get some order to the forum and keep spammers/trash talkers/trollers/etc away

That's a big problem with newbies: you join a new forum, with shiny buttons and stickied threads. Take 10 minutes of your time and you know what most of the buttons do, including the all-powerful search button. Take a bit longer and read the stickies and you can skip the next 10 threads about questions you had.and frankly if u saw those 1000000 posts about the same topic then u must also know that till this sec I have no Idea how to track my own posts... then How can I find old ones? lol
For your own posts, go to your profile, then click Statistics, then Post made by ASA411. Works for everyone else as well.

If you want to make a suggestion out of it, you're free to try. Just keep in mind to think about it thoroughly before making the post and be aware of the fact that nothing might change. At all.and for a quick question to Oldies: Can u create Forum groups or something like that?

The forum has a button leading to social groups, but it doesn't work. So making a "group" now can only be done by dedicating your siggy/location to it. fU e.g. -

100% agree, and as I said: I do that and i don't like it... I didn't even read all stickies cuz most of them that I see was Events, and I'm not sure if old events are still stickies or not (I mean Z8 site can seem quite OOOOLLLLDDDD sometimes)
But U know what did I get when posted a thread to ask about stuff in the Forum (like how upload the Avi. cuz I uploaded a profile pic instead, lol)

It's 1 year ago, but I doubt the thoughts about it have changed much.This function is not yet open to the forums. Due to the possibility of people making racist/sexist groups. It could go out of control. This function might be later put in within time.
There is one problem with such group though, mainly with supporting it as an oldie.... Some of us oldies have been MODs, here and on other forums/games. It will most likely just relocate the problem. Instead of posting a thread about it, or after their thread gets flamed/closed, they will pm them with each question they have.... -

No I don't think they did change anything... But if they know that there will be a supporting Group (us) they might think about it...
after all there are a lot of offensive Clans, and the games has no1 to look after that other than Players like us
So I think this problem will be solved internally, ONLY IF: there was a reporting system for the forum... like the Flag system I suggested earlier in this thread, or any other system

My bad, I forgot an essential part: "we know out of experience that it will relocate the problem." Waking up to a full pm-box with questions that 5 minutes of thinking would have solved, just because in a way, you are supposed to be answering their questions rather than saying "use your brains/the search button"
Also, Zuci is an oldie. (Grey hair and wrinkles and all that stuff) -

ok, I got u know (loud and clear)... But that's still one of the big reasons to make such a group!!!
we shouldn't receive PM from forumers that are not listed in our friends, instead we might have a Thread or even a section were we do our best trying to assist newbies and stuff
by doing so we will carry a heavy burden from MODs and GM(s), so that they won't have to get angry or loss it like Oldies do already!!!
I think we have a very Nice Z8 Staff and I don't wanna hear about them getting ****ed off and leaving to other games or forums :'(
So I try to help already (tho I don't know much)... even my post in the announcement of the handgun week had paid off, and helped [GM]Saiden to clarify some points in the main announcement (Which made me Soooooooo Happy
