Cheapest alternative would be to upgrade your RAM, entirely if that's stock low-mhz RAM.
You've tried GameBooster, right? -

This. 1 get more ram, 2gb of ram is sooo yesterday and you know today is friday friday, we all get down on friday.... ok well minimum you need 4 gig of ram, myself i use 16 gig but I dont only game. also that graphic card seems pretty low try to get a better one, and finaly 1.8ghz dual core is really old you must change it to something new.
but well if you're broke and you really need to up your fps, you just need to clean your pc. reformat it, clean the sh!t from hp then get back the things you need.
myself i did that and my pc passed from 120 fps in 8v8 to 290 -
graphics card is most important, also didn't the new CF text improved your FPS? My average was like 60 - 100, now its 100 - 200
CrossFire engine runs directly off the rez files on your hard drive, the GPU isn't important in this game at all, it's only real function is to display particular resolutions.
RAM mass, and your CPU's base clock speed will make the biggest difference.
On the upper end of the scale, a solid-state hard drive (SSD) makes a notable difference, but at a pretty hefty cost, for a larger capacity. -

a 15k or 10k rpm drive can be substituted for a ssd tho -

my 10k drive still works for 1.5 year so far but i'll be mad if it breaks then my os goes with it
my 300 gb 10k drive was only like 163 usd and with that money you can get only a 60 gb ssd -

That's a rip, I bought my current Corsair Force 250GB SSD for what would be equivalent to $60.
But that's because I know the right people

cpu = fps. 2gb ram for cf is more than enough even on win7.
the thing you forgot is at time you use vista/win7 or any last generation os they eat at least 1gig of your ram which cut your 2 gig of ram into 1, and 1 gig of ram for a mmofps is way too low. -

yeah but we talk about cf and it eats 300 ´- 600 ram at my note. 900 - 1000 ram by win7 x32 there are enough ram for background programs

Most decent SR/specs and benchmarkers already take this into consideration.
