Question About Sony Vegas pro9

Alright I've looked it over and first of all, for his special animations, like the one at 0:18 I believe that's his own creation or he used a special shot from somewhere else. You can basically fade in another effect on top of your video, but you gotta use black screen to do it. As for your dark parts, try filling it with some different transition FXs. You just have to drag it to the end of your clip where you switch to another clip and the transiton will be good. If you want more indepth info about how to use transitions or other effects, just try searching it up on youtube, it'll help a lot.

Right click and select properities.

and then select maintain aspect ratio OFF



EDIT: I use sony vegas 7 but I belive it's the same in all versions
