My PC is crashing/freezing randomly

Yeah i know its in the wrong section but it doesnt have to do with crossfire, and this section is the most read :P

Im gettin BSODs and freezes whenever i play ANY game (UT or any High specs game)

Im gettin this error some times

"Page Fault In Non Paged Area"

And most times PC just restarts or freezes until manually turned off...
I checked my HDD for any NTFS error, and everything is fine, driver were last updated like a month ago and i dont think they are the problem.. i will try to check my PC for viruses ..

I suspect it is a RAM problem.. but im not an expert so i need ur help guys..

How much Virtual Memory are you currently running?

Would be even better if you had the blue screen error code that it gives you when it BSOD.

Make life little bit easier and can figure out where exactly the error is coming form.

EDIT: Also would help to have system specs.

That error usually occurs when you've installed some kind of new hardware.

Have you installed any new hardware?

....such as a video card, RAM chips, etc. If so, most likely defective hardware.

If it’s a bad driver install, press F8 and choose the Last Known Good Configuration

If it’s a service causing the error, you can access Safe Mode and then go to Services under Administrative Tools and disable the appropriate service.

If you are a girl, you are really pro in computer hardware.

I have different symptom. I frequently run into computer freeze when review the replay. 1 or 2 months earlier my computer I just kicked out the game in some replay, then after several patches, my computer began to freeze on some replay. I have send a support ticket. But unlikely they will spend time on rare case.

Bad ram is often the culprit here.

I would try running MemTest86+. This is one of the best ways I know to test out ram. Note that this will need to be loaded on boot. I would suggest putting it on a flash drive. You can check out this tool from HP to make a bootable flash drive.

Ok i will try to find a way to test the RAM.

BTW, i deleted some useless unsigned drivers that some programs that i uninstalled left.. Set virtual memory to windows recomended, and fixed LOTS of registry keys.

Click on "Start" > click on" My computer" > Right click your Disk's > and chose "options" > chose the tab "Tools"(In some other langauge's it's called "Extra's" > click now on "Check now" > and "check" both the box's > click on "OK"(Or click on "Start") > Now it will say when you reboot the next time it will check your harddisk for problems and fix it

Repeat the same steps with any other disk's you got on your pc

This is how it looks on my pc and it should be the same on Windows xp/Vista/7

Oke so good luck it's probably just that you got some bad sectors on your pc
bad sectors are parts defect on your Harddisk with doing what I said above it will scan your pc and try to fix them if the are to heavily damaged windows will make a note of it and will not write any files on the damaged parts of the harddisk

I reinstalled windows 7, i backed up programs games images and stuff and now im installing everything again, lets hope there is no error now...

If the BSOD appears again i will use memtest..

Not all RAM problems are detected by programs- especially lack of RAM. Normally I would say to pull out sticks of RAM until you could identify the potentially faulty RAM with trial and error, but crashy-freezy PCs typically are a result of a lack of RAM. You could potentially have a very resource-intensive program running on start up, so try booting in to Safe Mode and pulling up the task manager and click the CPU or RAM columns at the top and see what applications come up in first place. With your computer, any RAM usage over 300,000 KB could lead to some problems.

I dont think so, i only run 3 strt up programs and i have 3 gbs of RAM, and i dont play games with lot of sh1t opened at the same time.

Anyway i reinstalled windows and played a bit some games, everything is fine for now...

But hx for the help.

Just because there's a girl in their AVIs doesn't mean they are girls.

P.S Virtual Memory is not hardware..

Ok pc just freezed again while playing ROFL

Looks like it could be RAM...

I will try to get a CD/USB to test ram with memtest...

Hi webcheaters (funny name lol)

I dont have time to write down or memorize the error code, windows 7 is supposed to save the dump file somewhere but i dont know where...

Also, im gonna put my specs in the first post..

Btw now im gettin this BSOD error :

IRQL not less or equal

Happens whenever i play ANY game for a while (light or heavy games).

Driver conflict or hardware malfunction.

90% of the cases its wrong drivers or conflict between some. reinstall windows clean, all partitions and be carefull what drivers you install.

Dude i just posted that i reinstalled windows, i deleted everything except some videos , images and gpu drivers.(wich i saved in another partition)

I will say it on more time use the chdsk of windows

I had the same problem with my pc some time ago...
Programmes randomly froze up and than after 15 seconds it was normal again
In those 15 seconds the programme was writing in a bad sector of the HDD
if you run chdsk on the partion where you installed windows it will help allot....

If you finally already did that and programme's still freeze up than there is a big chance your HDD is to much damaged

and another thing try running heavily 3D games really heavy ones
and if you get BSOD than the chances of your RAM being damaged will be high er than your HDD

Go with this idea, u ram may be f***ed up or virtual page files maybe low.
