XTrap Error after patch

Although the game has just updated unfortunately I am still getting the following error:

after the HGWC box the spash screen starts and a second later I get the following

I have done a complete fresh uninstall and reinstall as descibed in the forums, switched off all programs that I think could possibly be causing the probelm, set all crossfire apps to xp compatibility mode ( I am using Windows 7 Pro) in short I have tried everything short of reinstalling my OS sytem. I have played with out any problems until the Spring patch.

Has anyone had this problem and what can I do to resolve it? I have opened a ticket to z8 and emailed XTrap developers but have had no reply from them yet.

Thanks for the reply, I don't have evga, but checked through my graphic card settings and set everything to default and downloaded latest drivers but the XTrap still comes up with the same errors on the splash screen. Anymore help will be appreciated.

Thanks lexyaro. I tried this again tonight. I also used msconfig to do a selected boot up (only microsoft services will run) which will stop all other services including anti-virus. I did a fresh uninstall and download and then installed Crossfire but unfortunatley it has not helped. I still get the same darn error. I would do a complete OS reinstall including formating my hard drive etc, but no other programs or games have been affected, so i am reluctant to do that and then get the same XTrap error.
  • you have a proram malicious like virus or other.

you need delete your antivirus, run your game in mode administrator
  • XTrap error - fixed

I have actualy managed to fix this problem.
First I had to find out if it was a problem with XTrap as it appeared only after a patch. I did this by installling Win 7 on a sepearate drive along with Cross fire and no other software (including no anti virus software), Crossfire ran perfectly. Having found that, I did a 5 hour marthon repair on my Win 7 OS which restored my system back to it's original state, without losing my original programs and files.

If any one gets this error that the operating system is not working properly I suggest repairing your OS this as a final route if all else fails. Unless you don't want to play Crossfire anymore.
