Game Server Issues ?
Hello everyone! I'm looking for some helpful suggestions or some advice in which direction to go or what to try next. Please, no smart aleck retorts or knee jerk reactions, I'm looking for some sincere help here. Thank You!
My System: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP 1
AMD Athlon II X2 240 Processor, 3.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Monitor is an older HP Pavilion V 50 model, that I'd gotten with a Windows XP, a long while back, when XP's first came out.
Before this latest CrossFire update (patch) everything was rockin' & running smoothly, no problems at all during game play. Now, after doing the update/patch game play is slower than molasses, very twitchy, & my character moves in slow motion. It appears like a very bad Matrix Movie. lol Now, with that being said, I updated my computer to the latest NVIDIA GeForce driver, & this is all I have done at this time. I went back into the CrossFire game & I'm still getting the same slow, twitchy, moving at a snail's pace, results. I've chatted it up with some of the other game players & most have said they are not having any slow servers issues, or the problems I seem to be incurring. I'm not having any 'slow down' issues with any other games, nor am I having any other problems with my computer. Again, computer & everything was great before this latest patch, afterwards all is still good, with the exception being CrossFire's game play. It's now slower than a turtle.
Where do I go from here? What can I try next? How do I fix this? Would getting a new monitor solve this? Please keep your answers as simple as possible. I know my way around a computer & this game, but I'm no computer techy, & no, I'm not a noob. lol Thank you in advance for any & all answers, comments, & posts. I hope to get this figured out soon as I think CrossFire really rocks.
Take Care,
~Rotty

Well, I did some research, read over a couple of the threads here, & ended up downloading & using Game Booster 2.3 from here:
http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
It cured my computer ills, & I was able to once again play CrossFire in a normal quick speed. So, I would highly suggest anyone having similar problems to use Game Booster, it really helped me out. Also, when you go to the download (you'll end up at Major Geeks' website) please watch the video on how the program operates. It is also very helpful in understanding it.
If anyone would still like to reply to my original post, or just give their 2 cents worth of advice, or what has possibly helped them overcome computer/gaming issues, I would still be interested in hearing from you.
Thank you Z8/CF for having a place for us to air our issues, problems, solutions, thoughts, & ideas.
Take Care,
~Rotty
