Anyone get similar problem?
From last night ..... after I turned the vent on
1. sound starts to choppy, especially gunshot.....
2. graphics get choppy, it has to pause a little every several second.
3. restart xp and computer start slow, after long rebooting, I notice fps is like 30. After patch I get 100 somehow.

Most annoying,
every time after hibernate (xp) then start the game, the fps is around 10.
lots of people explains the two core are used. But after game, I check that one core is fully loaded, and the other core seems have very low duty.
My system, dell vosto 1400 128M Geforce, xp 32bit, 2G Memory. Core 2 duo 7250.
I restarted it 5 times today.

And I forget the reg loss. I nearly throw my mouse because of it. For a while it is like you are shooting nothing. Not sure it is cpu usage related or ping related. I have a steady 49 ping, while some players in room have 500+ ping. And I start a vote but can not find a good reason for it. AND NO ONE WOULD KICK HIM.

Yeah, another thing I forgot is the sticky mouse. I had it before but after some patch it was gone. Now it is back (from last night). I would like to address it to the cpu usage problem. Even though someone said the new patch make the game use two cpu, it seems mine have not. And the once cpu is busy (always 50%, 1 core is fully loaded), sometimes I got sticky mouse. It happens occasionally now, and the slower my computer restart (after install vent, my computer sometimes start slow), the more likely I will have all the problem.
And after 3 pages of operating system discuss. I know it is the sound card problem...... Let me reinstall mine. Because I am using laptop, the problem might be different. I have only 1 setting to choose.
BTW, xp is not crappy or gay. In my opinion, it might be the best OS from ms.
Last update. It might be the driver problem. I have not tried to play now. But I remember how it started. I have both vent and game running and my clan mate is giving me tutorial on clan vent. I heard his voice but then the sound of gun shot (or any louder) start to sound choppy. -

But here is some of my conclusion first. I confirmed only one cpu is loaded with cf, when game running, my task manager shows exactly 50% cpu usage, the other core is idle.
When computer can boot normally, the fps is about 109. After sometimes or some event, there was sudden drop, fan roaring, sound choppy, mouse sticky happens.
And it seems the hibernate will not always cause the fps drop. In some situation, it would not.
Looks like it is my laptop problem. But one year ago, it is very smooth, even the fan roared almost same. -

No, but it seems that turn off hibernate can make me restart the game without fps drop. I have not changed this setting purposely for quite some time. But some other software prevent the system from hibernating.
