Fullscreen Guide (Remove The Black Borders)
After seeing problems with people trying to run crossfire in fullscreen mode I decided to write a guide which may help in most circumstances.
The problem with full screen often occurs when running the game on a widescreen resolution such as 1366x768 which the game does not natively support. With this screen resolution the game can only be run at 1024x768 leaving black borders on each side of the screen.
This is caused by the graphics driver settings not by the game itself. The game simply displays how it is told to by the graphics settings.
I have provided instructions on how to set the correct settings for the 3 main graphics manufacturers, Nvidia, ATI and Intel. Check the option shown with a thick green border.
PLEASE NOTE: Your settings may vary from those listed below but, in most cases, you should find similar options. If you are missing the settings or the setting will not stay on full screen scaling, you should look for an updated graphics driver.
nVidia (Based on my 7950 GTX)
NOTE: This option only appears for my laptop display, not my external monitor. I have never had to change the settings for my external monitor as it always works full screen.
Right click the desktop and choose nVidia Control Panel.
Under Display, click Adjust desktop size and position.
Change the setting to nVidia Scaling and click apply/OK.
ATI (Based on HD Radeon 4870)
Right click the desktop and choose Catalyst Control Center.
Look for Digital Panel > Attributes.
Under Image Scaling, select Scale image to full panel size, click apply/OK.
Intel Graphics (Based on Intel Series 4)
Right click the desktop and choose Graphics properties.
Under General Settings, look for the Scaling setting and change this to Scale Full Screen, click apply/OK.
Finally, I would like to mention, if the game previously worked in full screen and after a Windows reinstall you do not have the options shown, it is likely you or your computer previously did a background driver update through windows update which then gave you the above options.
The basic graphics driver installed by the Windows installation often does not include all the settings relevant to your graphics card. So always look for a driver update after installing Windows.
Using the above guide I have solved the full screen issue on several systems using different graphics cards. So I know this does resolve it in many cases. Sorry if it does not fix your issue.

Different control centers have different options but its usually there somewhere.
According to this one which looks like yours, you need to go into Desktop & Displays, right click the display you are using, select configure then for scaling select full screen.

i dont find this option on my nvidia 9500GT

I think the reason this option does not appear in these cases is due to using a separate monitor and not a laptop?
Scaling may be specific to laptops in that it defines how the display is handled when the viewing resolution is smaller than the actual monitor resolution.
Maybe for separate monitors or HDTVs the settings are controlled by the monitor itself or monitor drivers rather than the video card drivers.
As mentioned in my first post, only when using my laptop display do I get the scaling option. It does not appear when using a separate monitor. However, when I run the game at say 800x600 on my monitor which is 1440x900 I have never had a problem with it running full screen straight away.
Unfortunately I guess this guide is therefore aimed at laptops displays rather than desktop PCs with separate monitors. -

AMD is the manufacturer but the graphics are still under the ATI name - most likely Mobility Radeon for laptops.
If you look at post #8 in this thread you will see some information relating to a different control center with a link to an external guide. This might help.
AMD actually bought the ATI brand a few years ago. -

Sorry, i've never had the need to do or try that.
Maybe there is a hidden command line switch the devs use while testing the game to do that, but i'm not the dev so.... -

Good job. Should be placed under the guides section of the forums though.
And again, no it shouldn't. This is a technical support guide. Although it is not a fault with the game it is for helping people 'fix' the issue with black borders. It is not a general game guide.
Before I made this post there where several posts a week, around one every day in technical support section asking how to get crossfire to run full screen.
If this was in the general guides section people would still be posting here about this issue. With it here people can see it before they post for help about the same issue. Now there are hardly any posts about it.
As you can see from the first page there are a few guides which provide support. Just because it is has 'guide' in the title does not automatically mean it should be in the guides section. -
Do you mean the scaling options are there but all greyed out so you cant select any or that you don't even have those options?
Is there maybe an option on the left called Change Flat Panel Scaling?
If you can't see that, can you post a picture of what you have?

but i still got black borders please help
