Razer abyssus(good small smooth mouse)
Intellimouse 3.0

SS inkari optical
Logitech mx500
Logitech mx518
Logitech G5(horrible, g500 is a bit better but I'd shoot for the DA)
Mouse i currently use: Razer Deathadder, since my XAI broke. I'm looking to pick up the ZOWIE EC2 :P

I disagree about the g500 only being a little better. It was a major step up from the G5 which i literally threw in the trash after an hour.
My only complaint is it's over sensitive which leads to weird wobbles the way i handle my mouse. -

Here's a couple reviews that may help... I actually like old school with the MX518 from MSFT as it's under 30 bucks.

w/e these people above say.
First of all Razer Naga is NOT for fps games. The dude who posted a pic of it is a stupid ignorant kid.
I haven't only bought and tested Razer mice in my life btw.
The best mouse imo is the Razer Deathadder (Mamba if you have enough money). It has good performances, good looks, ergonomics... The only "problem" would be the sides are glossy (as all Razer's mice btw) and tend to make some people swet.
I must warn you that if your Razer product has issues (only one of mine has out of a dozen) you will have a hard time contacting Razer and sendin' the product to their labs.
R.a.t mice are imo pretty bad. I mean the idea of a shape which you could set to please your hand was good (no it wasn't... you get used to a mouse and not the other way) but the shape of the mouse is crap and feels uncomfty. Ergonomics= 0/10. They perform.good but a R.A.T.7 (which is supposed to have hiher dpi than a Deathadder refresh) is less sensitive than a Deathadder (3500dpi one). I tried them.on my pc with the same mousemat...
Steelseries: The ergonomics completely fail. They are even worse than the R.A.Ts (from.cyborg). It's as if steelseries had leeched somebody's technology and just put it in a regular shaped mouse. The performances are good though. Steelseries is awesome at making Headsets but that doesn't go further (mice, mats... aren't as goood as you could expect).
Roccat: their mice are good imo. They aren't as ergonomic as Razer's but they're pretty good and with a hit more effort good compete/rule over Razer. The performances are good and they don't try to fool you as Cyborg does with his R.A.Ts. The prices are decent too.
And finally Logitech: Since ever I used Logitech cheap mice (15-25€). But those were the cheaps one and were good and ruled over the cheap mice market. But their "gaming" mice are total rip offs. They look like crap, are made in uncomfty materials and don't perform better than the others.
To conclued: If I were you I would get a Razer mouse if I can get a year "exchange vs a new one if broken" just in case you have problems (I've sent an email for my broken mic on my Carcharias since a week and still haven't heard from Razer but that's one product having isssues out of a dozen I have.). Otherwise go for Roccat's mice.
You definitively need a Gaming mousemat to go with your gaming mouse. Otherwise it won't perform as it could. Razer Scarab would be the best hardmat choice and maybe Steelseries QcK+ would he the best soft mat choice.
If you need a good keybord to go with your mouse Razer BlackWidow is the best you can get in terms of technologie (if you don't care about the useless fancy lighting you'll save $50).
If you want a gaming Headset go for a Roccat Kave, a Steelseries Siberia 2 or any of Razer's Headsets (excepted Pirana).
And to go with your wired Gaming mouse you could buy a Roccat Apuri. It really seems it won't change anything but you"ll see a real difference.

i also heard the Logitec Mx518 is amazing is that true
The mx518 is a cheap shell of what the wireless mx700 was six years ago. That said, I went ahead and bought one for $10 AR when they were unloading them after Black Friday. Optical mice are the sh1t. Anyone who thinks otherwise should play me ;D
Oh, and the MX700 was probably the greatest optical mouse of all time. I gamed with that beast until six months ago, when I got tired of charging the batteries. Now I'm on a Razer Lachesis that I got for $35 refurb'd off of woot, and it's not any better than the 700. -
Good post .
should help a few people out.
I can make good posts when I'm in a good mood
.
Btw I haven't check if there were and how many typos there were because I typed that from my mobile (as all my posts) and cba to read it
.
All what I've written is true.
On topic:
When you buyva mouse it's not rare to totally dislike it's grip but that's normal. If it fits your hand immediatly then it isn't worth a gaming mouse.
Why? Because all your life you have been using regular mice with non-ergonomic forms so if you immediatly get used to the grip it means your mouse sucks and that you've bought the wrong one (i.e. kinzu, mx518, xai, G5, G500...). The ones listed in brackets, whatever anybody can say, aren't shaped as a gaming mouse should be shaped. In fact the only advantage with logitech is their support center is quick and good.
There are exceptions for some mice depending on the person who is handing it for the first time. Some could like the grip on the first try of a mouse without it being badly shaped. It's all random but all those lisyened in brackets and every single logitech aren't ergonomic at all. If you want to become serious you better should get an ergomic mouse that you wouldn't want to drop leaving an empty hand. Your mouse has to become part of you. You have to feel like it's an extension of your hand.
There is no such a thing as a personal grip. I've tried many mice and I've been through all the grips (you don't choose your grip, the mouse chooses it for you).
Normally a good gaming mouse should take you an entire week to get used to (depending on how nerdy you are, how much you play. I bet that you could get used to it in a straight 24hours). You probably won't notice you got used to it and it has became an extension of your arm but whenever you'll use let's say a school computer (or a friend's) you will wonder how you ever did without your gaming mouse.
I recommand setting your dpi to max for desktop usage (internet, photoshop, vegas pro...). You'll be like "omg this is madness the cursor just goes from one side of the screen to the other when I only move the mouse by 1cm" and you'll feel like you'll never get used to it and I've seen quite a lot of people lowering there dpi because of that but DON'T. It's verry usefull wants you get used to it and since your not going to profit a maximum of the speed your mouse can deliver in game (everybody knows pro gamers, in leagues, play at low-sens. They do that because it's more precise. What you'll have to do is lower it progressively; by 1-10 a day depending on how you can adapt yourself to the sensitivity. I dropped mine fron 100 to 40 in a month and then from 40-0 in 2days
).
That's all for the moment. Thanks for reading.
