Map Design Contest (Suggestion)
I think this would be a good idea, it would give the community a chance to design there ideal map, and submit it for Z8 to look at and maybe create for the next patch.
Z8 could offer ZP rewards to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place designs.
But rather than people just "saying" what they want, they could design a detailed map in photoshop (or whatever they use) and then submit the detailed images/blueprints.
It could be judged by the Z8 GM/Mods or by the community.
The GM's could choose 1 gametype, or choose all for the contest.
I personally would spend many hours stuck to photoshop making a map to enter.
What does everyone else think? and if GM/Mods read this, what do you think?

Actually, I think they should make a map editing program for Cross Fire. Design it like the Halo forge option. You get to move around like in the replay modes on a set pixel size black square. You can then add boxes, cars for scenery, and maybe throw a few building in there.
When someone finished a map, they can save it, and then send the file to a MOD or GM and they can go review it. If the MOD/GM likes the idea, it can be submitted to be added into the next patch.
I haven't worked out all the specifics of the idea yet, I'll be posting it as a different thread when I refine the idea more. -
the only game i played where u can design your own maps was deltaforce 2, and u could host the map, and have friends help u test it, aslong as they have it in the game folder.
i cant see z8 bringing out a map editing program, so the public designing and submitting blueprints/designs for z8 to look at is the best we can hope for -
Z8 dont "have" to make the map, but make the contest, and see what kind of stuff the community can show them, and something like 30k zp 1st, 20k zp 2nd and 10k zp 3rd places.
and hopefully if ppl keep this thread alive long enough for a GM to view it, the contest might happen -

So can we just keep trolling so it become more alive ?

Hey... Don't knock down the dreams of a kid who's life is based around Cross Fire and the dreams of future content!! xD -

While I like the idea, it's not practical.
For one, Z8 doesn't even make the maps, Smilegate does, Z8 is the western publisher. Two, it takes a very long time to make a map, like a few to several months, so having it featured in the next-patch would be very unlikely. Last, the maps are actually very closely designed and with complete purpose. Map making isn't something where you just add random rooms because it would be cool, you need to design it so it's good for a TD, or S&D or whatever. Which involves directing players to a central point of combat, and making alternate paths to get to locations. I'm sure you would probably understand how to make a nice map, but many would have no idea what requirements there are.
You could always just post your great map idea and if enough like it then can push it to Smilegate.
