Hard times for ghosts

i know this is lateIt has made playing on Global Risk easier. However, it has made playing an entire match without being kicked harder.

Let's be honest any decent player is gonna have a hard enough time getting through ghost mode without being kicked, even if it's just the ghost running at them and getting shot fairly, or the ghost bhopping and killing a guy, people just cant accept people actually being good, i dont personally mind it cause even as a major GR player I only catch it now and again im not great but im not terrible either -
I don't play gm.
I don't like shooting at walls....and die...without seeing anyone...just su.cks.
Metro and complex are easy maps for the soldiers. but the more recent ones are so much harder to play like a soldier...
If the ghosts know how to bunyhop the soldier team just looses...because they are insivible and with a shovel..you have no chance...
Its a unbalanced mode. And this is why it's dying. -
I've noticed that light is now not only outlining ghosts that are standing in it, but also when they are standing in front of it. This resulting in a lot of false hackusations from Ghosts that used to do good before this new development.
I would like to ask for your opinion on the matter. Do you think this change in Ghost Mode is good, or has it drastically tipped the balance of the game in Global Risk's favor?
Ive noticed the same thing and ive had people call me hack.s but i think its a good thing because if you think about it if there was really a camoflauging [dont judge spelling lol] device it probably wouldnt be able to copy light or smoke and i was playing with pros yesterday and it really did mess up their game but mostly i try to stay away from smoke and light as good as i can.. plus now i wish i didnt sell my smoke lol and plus the global risk needed a little more of an advantage even though i can pinpoint and what not just saying.. also i have a question did they change the speed because my friend said he cant bhop as good anymore he think they changed speed.. -

I'm just gonna say I hate what they did to GM this patch. 100% hate it and I play both sides. People are saying that good players should be able to avoid but half the time I don't know if I am or not. I was being killed when I was doing everything right but just cause there was smoke or light 20 feet behind me I could be seen. I can't even tell who hacking anymore cause I have no idea if im bhoping in front of a spot that shows me. Awesome job guys ruining a fun mode.

The smoke thing is a turn to normality because until now the smoke was useless. In fact smoke was good for ghosts.
You could always see ghosts in smoke, but now you can see them even if they're just between it and the GR, not in it.I don't play gm.

Only time it was unbalanced was before bhop, now it's just become a bit harder for BL since this patch. And I highly doubt it's "dieing." -
If you stay away from being between a GR player and a light/smoke source, then its the same Ghostmode as before the patch. I still manage to do good on both sides.

Ok so I've played today.
It isn't as bothering as I could've believed. It helps alot as GR because many ghosts suck hut as a Ghost it doesn't really make a difference and even cqn get handdy to see what's happening on the other side of a smoke grenade just put your hand and knife in front of it. -
Whether or not the smoke and lights were intentional or accidental it needs to be fixed. I play both sides and I play with decent players most of which can pp.
Add noob smoke and lights to the mix and you barely have a chance when everyone smokes.
My entire clan (InsanityGM) along with most of the gm clans think gm got screwed.
Whatever optimizations you made to smoke and light, DELETE them. CF now runs on 2 cores, that's enough to reduce any fps lag created by the old smoke/lights. -
Bad enough ghosts are invisible 90% of the time and that they can use zp knives and that they can B-hop which makes GR have to rely on instinct rather than sences.
I say other than having a helmet that allows you to see ghosts all the time, GM will always be tipped to the BL favor but not by much.
Pretty much.
If someone is bhopping at you you really don't have time to pinpoint before they can kill you if they are good. -

Lol. I got kiked as GR for intentionnaly throwing a smoke and lokking around for a ghost and hs him. Some people still don't know about the changrs...
Btw it's a good change I guess. Doesn't bother pro Ghosts and will give a chance for GRs to kill shovel noibs with steps and breath down (they are obviously idiot since they use shovel so they'll play as before and get owned by the changes). -
i was playing as BL and they are calling me a hacker... i dont get why they cry so much when im a ghost..There is a new hack spreading around that allows you to glide. This way your character moves without the legs moving.
This does 3 things in GM:
- The hacker can move at top speed without becoming visible.
- There's no sound of footsteps. And by the time you hear noise down breath, he's already in your face.
- They can get up ladders unseen and cruse through water unheard.
So you see why GR has been crying so much lately about ghosts hacking. Because some of them actually are. And from a noob's point of view, you can't see the difference between getting killed by an invisible bunny hopper or an invisible glider.

Yeah it is hard times for the ghosties, I always play as a BL but since the latest patch I didn't really had many problems, but I think it is coz I always play Lab or Relics, thats why. I think that since so many noobies still can't bhop properly, moving while being visible, and the guys who do bhop will never stand still near the bombs, we don't need to have the game patched again to "correct" this issue. Shovels still do their damage and remember that most of the kills are done NOT when the bomb's set, but in the meanwhile, and since guns almost all have the same power (except for the uzi and p90 lol), ghosts equipped with a shovel or a axe, together with Breath Down, are more than a pain in the neck for the GR.
So I admit I like the new system, even though I like playing as BL. Kicks are just lame, that's what we need to improve.
