Since Z8 Doesn't Care..
Hello everyone, I opened this thread because it's the last thing I can do. A week ago my antivirus had expired and my brother was playing on my computer, it happened that a guy sent him a keylogger and he opened it without me knowing.. the guy msn was [email removed], so that guy basically got all my z8games' account infos etc. My account got stolen, so i sent a ticket to Z8, gave them all the infos, and they just keep putting it on "pending" without even replying. You know why? because this guy charged zp to change ingame name, just because of that, and want to know what is even more ridiculous? on this account where i'm sending the tickets, there are tickets where z8 gave me my account back.. and they're not believing it's me. my last shot was "check the damn IPs, they're like a driver's license" but do you think they did? of course not. my ip has always been italian, it takes nothing to compare it to the ingame one, or to the one who sent the tickets when they gave me my account back..
i know somebody will come up insulting or saying it's my fault, but trust me its not, and i dont even play this game anymore (not cuz of the account), but it's just frustrating that i wasted money on it and somebody got it away like that..

Oh your brother downloaded a keylogger. How did you get the email?
Your account information cant be taken unless you type it in. So unless your brother did type it in while keylogged then the person couldnt have got it. Im betting on the fact you gave the account information away one way or another.
YOU are the only one that should be on that account.. I dont let my brother use mine.
IP's arent definitive proof you own the account. You need the email, security answer or 2 tranaction ID's

Doesnt matter... it doesnt make it definitive proof...
And what would you say if your IP changed? Its too much of a variable to be taken into account as a way of getting an account back.

and by the way i gave them ALL the account informations, even when i created the account, all the passwords, all the emails, all the security answers.. all the transictions IDs, IPs, and stuff. EVERYTHING. they said just "this isnt the last paypal transiction" yea of course.. he charged zp to change the IGN. and you mr.MOD are trying to blame it on me? i gave them ALL THE INFOS. from the date i made the account, to ALL the passwords used. ask them to ask the guy if he knows even something about my account. before talking, ask facts and then throw crap on me

no, my IP is a definitive proof. I'm italian, my ISP is FASTWEB, the only one that has statics IPs. and no, not all the infos were taken like you think mr.MOD, i simply logged into the forums, and then into my email to check stuff. the passwords was the same since i used those two things just for CF. thats how he got it, ok?

You need the CORRECT information... if he charged ZP to the account then Trans ID's arnet going to help you.
Only the Email and Security answer will and that has to match what they have on the database

i went into my email to check stuff, and i had to type it in.. with my cf account he sent all the infos of the account and stole it completely.. if you think i gave away the infos then please stop replying, i need somebody who knows me to help me. thanks anyway for the replies mate

Support doesnt go on the forum. They need your information Yoyure not the first person to get hacked by someone who knows how to bend around the system -

But do you know how an info stealer works? No?
It takes the file that keeps your Username and Password (Firefox, IE, etc.) and decrypts it, sends it to a server or to an email address, and then BOOM...no need to even keylog you.
You can google it if you want, because I'm sick of all these blind sheep on the forum who think as long as you don't type it in your goodie goodie okee dohkee...your not.
Example : Steam Client : You have your username and password saved so you auto login...this means steam wrote a file with some pizz poor protection that someone figured out how to decrypt and read. Now they have your account info. Simple as that.
The way around that? Don't save your Password. Type it manually!
Of course, if they had binded a logger to the info steal as well, or the stealer also had that function, then your screwed either way....
I WILL fully agree on the "don't share your info" bit, and I'll also interject that you DON'T SHARE PC ACCOUNT with ANYONE else...make your own separate account so low-powered keyloggers and stealers can't get things from other accounts.
Moral of story : Beat your brother, tell your mother, get the computer to yourself so you don't get infected unless YOU downloaded something... -

My stupid mother banned me off the computer when I was 13 because I was trying to install Spybot :Search and Destroy on the computer to check if there was anything on it.
The computer dies a few years later....full of viruses...
Point being, people do live with stupid uninformed people...my mother could have downloaded a logger and got MY account hacked if the game had been out when she went all stupid mode on me.
Siblings do stupid stuff, and other people may or may not suffer because of it. It happens. You can NOT deny that. -

It happens (My sis is no computer wizard, she screws up my PC when she doesn't even know how she did it, and I have to fix it, that's the way it is)
However, I have read countless stories with the same pattern:
-Brother/Sister/Friend/Relative downloads a keylogger.
-The victim doesn't know about it and he/she loses the account.
-He/She comes here asking for help.
This might happen, I will give you that, however you have no way to prove that it was ineed your brother who downloaded a file (which conveniently had a keylogger and the guy who got the info conveniently also plays CF), instead of you downloading a hack for CF (which is more likely to happen) -
next time when you have an antivirus with a expiration date... Do this:
Fresh install.
Check expiration date
Change your clock Date/month/year to whatever time before you installed it.
Extended time to use.
Mine? around 20 years of something....
However it sometimes works, but often the antivirus doesnt update itself so be wary.
