Really? I've been playing for three years and I've just come across the worst thing ever. Trying to change my information in the user CP and I cant because I need parent permission? WTF! Thats the stupidest thing Ive ever seen. Its very unconvienant and useless. Get it off. Its rediculous. I'm 16 for crying out loud lol. Dont need parents permission for a T rated game.

Sorry for the rage (1st in awhile) but this is rediculous.
It's a forum bug only experienced by a pretty small % of the people.
It was related to a field in the db that wasn't properly changing for some accounts when we merged the board database with our game/site database.
We made some corrections en mass that should have fixed this issue. Alas, we know it did not correct it all. We actually don't know HOW some people get set to a COPPA user.
We're hoping that this year when we make some major improvements to the site and the boards (yet those are planned and in execution. no ETA as of right now) these issues can be fixed and we never have to deal with COPPA users again!
We're sorry for the frustration, there are some ways around it by faking information or submitting a ticket to us etc. -
It was run by a company called Scuba Games before. Z8 has only had it for a year and a half.

Z8Games since August '09...over 2 years since beta. I've been on since summer 2009 and it wasn't in beta anymore...
I noticed that a month ago or so. I just entered my own email adress.
CBT was October 2008I have but on other accounts. Didn't start playing "hardcore" until a year ago.I have no idea what these "betas" are you talking about. All I know is I've been playing this game since I was 13. Thats 3 years (coming 4 in a bit).
Perhaps the confusion is because Scuba Games owned CF before Z8?Wowowowowow. I give up. Its been over 3 yrs, no if ands or buts. Has it been more? In that particular post I wasn't sayin' it was in CBT in summer 2009 but that I started in summer 2009 and when I started it wasn't in beta anymore meaning I had no idea when.the CBT was but since that people have replied and so have I.

january 2009- january 2011: 24months
january 2011- april 2011: 3months
2+24+3= 29
29 months is 2years and 5months.

Yeah.. that is pretty lame.. also.. it hasn't been 3 years.. since CF came out yet.. not the NA anyway. -

this game has been around for (soon) two and a half years.
Nothing before that, not some other company.
I started playing in february 09 and we were just out of closed beta (which means the initial testing phase).
Open beta followed for a couple of months, which means anyone could sign up and play.
Public release came, and with it SP (ZP) dependencies and children.
This was all under Suba Games. It moved to Z8Games around August if I recall correctly, but no change followed with it. The same people who worked this game under Suba, now works it under Z8 (with minor changes, some asian GMs arent around).
It was more of a much needed overhaul for the portal and gave the game a chance to renew itself from the standstill it was at.
err.. kind of a long post.

Lol lol. This could possibly qualify for one of my biggest "fail posts" (probaly is...) do to failed math and attempting to do 3 things at once. Sorry for the rage about the time as I was wrong x2 (Once again to failed math. I signed up Dec 08. I thought 2011-2008=3 years. Lmao, that was horrible) Also sorry for the "Scuba" games. Dont know why I put a flippin C in it.
Because I failed so bad I hope the rest of you could end my misery by just having the decency to put this behind us and move forward. I dont need any reminders about this. Lets just move on shall we.
*I especially apoligise to apqlwma who I raged at when I was 110% wrong. I hope you can forgive me and forget this, putting the past behind us. LOL* -
