How will CF run on this system?
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8700 - 2,53 GHz
Random Access Memory (RAM): 4 GB - DDR2 (2 x 2048 MB)
Chipset: ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570 - 512MB
I'd like to know in average how many FPS would i get running CF with low graphics in 1v1 and crowded rooms? I know you can only estimate, but it'd be a bigg help

You really don't want to know.. I'm playing on a sh1tty laptop now. (I barely get over 50 FPS)
But my dead computer had:
AMD Phenom X4 9850 2.3GHz (quad core)
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon 5770 1GB (reference edition

I wanted that processor for christmas, didnt come lol. Now there are several laptops in promotion for less than 400 € with that specs i just stated.. Ill be getting one end of this month. Thanks for the help! -

Sorry but that's just not true. I get 45~ FPS at crowded rooms, and when im playing at 60 FPS i can clearly tell the difference. Also this sytem will get me way more than 30 i think.. The mouse just does not mvoe as smooth as it would with higher fps.. -

RE: 30 FPS VS 60 FPS, Is there actually a visual difference?

There is a bit of a difference between 30FPS and 60FPS, it's only "noticeable" in some games. I say noticeable because in a slow paced RPG if you cap at 30 and then at 60, so long as your frames don't ever dip but stay capped at 30FPS all the time it will be hard to tell the difference. In racing games it's prob more noticeable because the action moves quickly and if your video card is only refreshing at 30FPS it won't look as smooth and maybe slightly jerky. I suppose the comparison depends on the game you're playing more than anything.
However, above 60FPS is completely unnecessary and I don't believe anyone who says they can pick up a difference between a game running properly at 60FPS vs anything higher. If people claim they can see a difference what they're usually picking up is minor framerate drops that cause the effect of "stutter" for a second or sometimes less. If the game is old enough where you can properly cap it at 60FPS and have absolutely 0 drops below 60FPS, ie. your min framerate never gets below 60FPS you will not be able to tell the difference. The other things that might give the appearance of stutter is capping at 60FPS on a monitor has a different native refresh rate or display rate. You also run into hardware issues like microstutter with some video cards which might make the game appear less "smooth" even though it's at a consistent 60FPS. Under ideal conditions, with displays that are native 60hz and 100hz, running a game at 60FPS vs 100FPS respectively is indistinguishable.
In any case, if you want a smooth image its best to run a game at the native refresh rate of your display, or a multiple thereof
EDIT:: Steady Frames from 30+ will not have a difference. Opposed to having your frames jump around. Which would cause some as the worded it "Stutter". -
It will run CF smoothly.

Im building a super mondo computer. :O. I will probably die to save it.
AMD Phenom X4 1100T Black Edition. (SixCore at 3.3GHz)
AMD Radeon 6990 4GB Graphics (Waiting for it to come out)
8 to 16GB of Ram.
Eh cant wait.
1500 dollars to go til I have my ultimate gaming computer thatll last me a lifetime.

I could build you that for less than a third of the price
Shame you live all the way over thar, silly. -
How do you plan to build it for the third of the price? o.O?CookieMunzta wrote: »I could build you that for less than a third of the price

That graphics card is like 800bucks. The ram is gna be 100. and the processor is 230.
Im getting a 170dollar HD monitor. uhh..
a 200dollar cooling system. o.o"
Im building this by myself. o.o" I can build one.. If im lazy at the time... Then I can get the store to do it for 100bucks.

@OP: Your system will probably have FPS drops to around 40FPS, with the worst drops in 8v8 going down to at least the lower 20s. Perfectly playable. Perfect? Nope. It only has 80 SPUs, so it'll likely drop a bit on certain maps with a lot of graphical action (Metro 8v8, Black Widow 8v8, ect).

Because you're paying retail price
My current build was less than $300, including the monitor, mouse, keyboard, OS, etc.
It took me a while to find everything I wanted, but you just gotta look in the right places, ask the right people (I'm pretty lucky when it comes to that part). -
eh, but you haz cheap parts ;( Then again thats good for 300. >.>:rolleyes:CookieMunzta wrote: »Because you're paying retail price

Pfft, 1800mhz Corsair DDR3, a liquid and arctic cooled 3.5ghz Intel Quad Extreme OC'd CPU, and a 2GB GPU that supports beyond HD, and 3D, not to mention the Xai's worth like £110 on it's own
That thing's raped eveything I've put at it so far

The graphics card im getting is like holy damn gives you 1500fps in cf.

Going absolutely overkill, especially when you play crossfire, is a huge waste of money.
Uh, no. There's a difference between 30 and 60, and there's a difference between 60 and 120. Ask any quake player and they'll notice a difference between 60 and 120.CrackinDomes wrote: »More then 30+ anything after that you wont notice a difference anyways.

I have a laptop...
Procesor:intel i7 cpu 1,73GHz
Ram: 8 GB
Chipset:Nvidia...
I get around 80fps to 230fps depending on how many players are in the room.
I play only in Uk server.. my ping is normally 30-45..
I never tried to put the nvidia in the max and the win64 in max performance....only with gta...probably would get 280-300fps..maybe I try that later... -

For some reason, I get like triple the fps in Crysis on max with 32 people, than I do in CF with 16 (280fps) -

there is indeed a diference between 30 and 60, from 30/60 fps i can see it, 60-75 i can feel it. anything higher then that for me go over my monitor refresh rate and even then if you have a 100 hz monitor i doubt it make much of a diference. but even though i can 30+ fps in a 5v5 and 50 or so in a 1v1, dear god i see the diference.
