Hey. I'm new to this game and I need a few advices and suggestions. I decided to try CF after I noticed it on the WCG games list. I used to play a lot of different fps games such as cs, cod4, quake live and such.
What weapon should I go for? Preferably a weapon that is allowed in leagues (if there are any atm).
What is the competitive setup, 5v5 de_? Up to how many rounds do you play?
Sorry for such questions but I didn't have a chance to download this game and I want to know a little bit about this game before I try it.

Sup, welcome.
For a weapon, it depends on YOU. Can you or can you not handle recoil? If you can handle recoil go for an AK. If your not sure, M4A1 is a great weapon to start with(getting hs).
If your a sniper then start off with the m700 that you already have in your invetory when you create your chacracter or go straight to the AWM were you get 1shot kills. It really just depends on YOU as a player.
As for maps and set-ups. There are 1vs1, 3vs3, 5vs5, 6vs6 or 8vs8.
Maps range from SnD, TDM, GM( ghost mode) and HM MM ( Hero Mode and Mutation Mode)
Most of the time hosts set-up matches to go to 13 rounds( maximum round)

here are some tips... Dont go for crate weapons on black market till you have a good inventory that you are proud of. The chances of winning are very low, prizes also are not too good. For a begging player i suggest doing the missions and getting yourself familiar with the levels.
Once you start doing good in pubs go to echo 8 or something and face some better people, this will improve your skill a lot quicker. If you dont want to be called noob or get QQ'ed dont buy Spop, M12s, Scar light, armor. People seem to have it out for those items. Also there will be hacker encounters, dont let them get the better of you and ignore them or leave the room. Also be sure to use sound, in this game it is very crucial (left earbud in left and right in right). I suggest doing ghost mode to help you on this skill.

Tips: Don't be too good, never get a 3 kill streak. It will only result in the opposite team QQing, you will see "F11" spammed all over the screen, then you will be kicked.
Best beginner guns: M4A1 or AK47.
Best pistol: D-Eagle :rolleyes: I'm married to that thing

oh and hi and welcome into this comunity.
i will say few things.First of all this is a great game.people are mostly enjoy it and mostly hate it.
i will also warning u to play mm and hero mode with your friends there are alot of hackers this days.mostly people hack for fun and mostly of them hack because they hate this game.
now for the weapons i would agree that u dont buy crates weapons because its a 5% to get that weapon.So mostly if u want to buy zps trough credit card or trough cellphone then do it because u can get good guns like m4a1c,ak scope,golden G.G.,de scope and others.NExt thing is save your gp for weapons.people do buy creates because they want to win perm weapons(if u think u are lucky guy buy crates).
next up is for exp easy way to get exp is snd matches.
it gets u exp alot.
if u want to test your skill play gm its a perfect way to do that.
for getting gps play hero mode get in first 3 with more kills u will get 700 gp

Shouldnt have posted in Barracks xD Get loads of idiots here.
But yeah, m4 / ak / awp / deagle. Game is kinda like css, but just not as good obviously.
Maybe spend a small bit of money or do surveys to win ZP and then you won't have to wait for ages to get enough gp to buy a decent rifle since z8 have got a bit..... tight.
You euro or NA btw? If you want to know something about the game I'd recommend asking in Tournaments section tbh, since there's a bunch of idiots that talk crap on barracks section.
And welcome, mediocre people coming from cs/quake are normally top tier CF players. Good luck.
